Bayley did not have a good night sleeping at all. She felt pretty lousy but still ate ok and still no fever. We are using a humidifier and taking her in the steamy bathroom to open her head up some. Syd had a yucky night but she will make it through. Teen years are tough. Today is Brodys 5th Birthday!!! Happy Birthday Brody We Love You TONS!

Bayley has a cold. YUK. Really stuffy nose that runs all the time. Coughin and sneezing a lot. No fever. Still eating good…We will wait and see what happens.

As you can see Bayley started reaching out for her toys today! I was so excited. She was running a little behind on that milestone but as of today she is now reaching out for the duck on her carseat! Sydney noticed it when she was sitting in her room. GO BAY! Sydneys cold is better thank goodness. The Tylenol Cold seemed to do the trick. Bayley did good again tonight in Bible Class. She was actually great all night at church! I was very excited because last night she screamed A LOT so it was a nice change! YAY BAY.

Today was a decent day. Bay was with Katie and did ok. Katie said she was a little fussy and apparently is a little scared of a deer hanging on their wall. lol So far we know she doesnt like Tickle Me Elmo or Deer. lol I decided tonight was the night to try to get a current Christmas card picture... you can see how great that worked out! I now have 101 pictures of Bayley screaming in Sydneys arms. I think it was easier to get a picture of Sydney holding both the cat and dog. O well we will eventually get a good one. Sydeny wasnt feeling great tonight. She started getting a sore throat and her chest was hurting some. I hope she doesnt get any worse. I gave her some Tylenol Cold and so lets hope that works.

Today was a good day. Bayley was with Gail and did good. We ran to the grocery store and managed to finally get the Christmas tree put up. I dont think Bayley has noticed it. She did have fun sitting in her high chair for a few minutes while we all worked on getting the tree up and decorated. One week from today she will be eating rice cereal for the very first time! YAY Bay!

Today was an ok day. Bayley went to Sunday School class for the first time today. Katie said she did good. She was sound asleep when I got there to pick her up. During church Bayley got a lil fussy so we ended up going to the nursery. Well Katie ended up in there with Hannah too and at one point Hannah was climbing on a lil chair. Hannah ended up falling off the chair and when she hit the ground BAYLEY LAUGHED. I think it suprised me and Katie both! Bayley apparently was pretty amused with Hannah! lol We went home after church and took a nap and pretty much did nothing. It was a pretty good day.

Today has been a good day. It started off a lil rough for poor Bay who learned a lesson...dont stick your fingers down your throat right after drinking a botttle..yup she puked! What a way to start the day lol Then Sydney and Devin had some pics made and then later me and Bay did some shopping. We went back to the Galleria and got a few things done and then we hit Ross & Wal-Mart. We got home just in time to see the game and attempt to get caught up on blogging! lol Bayley was the best shopping baby today. She got a lil tired of the stroller but for the most part she was really easy going! yay bay!

This was a very long day. Me Syd and Devin headed out at 330 AM shopping... we joined all the nuts for a few hours at the Galleria. It was ok...but i really could have done just as good at home on the internet. Brian got up with the Baby and brought her to work with him. We met him about 8:15 and picked up Bay then headed to Walmart. We eventually came home and took a nap then spent the day doing lil projects. Stefanie came by to see Bay. Stef was my lifeline when Syd was a baby and I am so glad she is in Bayleys life. Me and Syd cooked lasagna that night and overall it was a great day!

Thanksgiving Day ended up being a good one. If you know me that is unusual for me to say cause I normally dont like that day. We finally woke up that morning after Syd sleeping in the recliner and me on the couch with Bay... and Brian in bed not feeling the greatest and we actually all felt ok so off to the river we went. Mother cooked a feast of course and despite a couple of crying fits of hunger Bay had a great 1st Thanksgiving dinner. She may be a little girl but she has LARGE LUNGS....she can scream! The pictures are all dark because the power went out after we ate so we were taking pictures in the dark with Mothers camera and it didnt have a flash. When we left the river we went to Great Granny Maddox house. It was fun too. I hate I didnt get any pictures I just let it slip my mind. Gail had cooked yummy dressing and so of course we ate some there too. I think this Thanksgiving it was on my mind how thankful I am for the blessings of this year and the addition of our Bayley. Who would have thought last Thanksgiving that we would have another baby. I constantly find myself thinking...wow this time last year I would have never dreamed I would have a 5 month old baby... she is truly a joy and I am so thankful that she is here and doing so well. I think alot about the baby that we lost and wonder what he/she would have looked like or figure up the age. Having Bayley makes me remember how precious Sydney was as a lil baby and remember just how blessed we are. Sydney is such a wonderful daughter. She works hard to make us proud and has so many dreams and I pray she stays happy and healthy. Brian is such a good daddy. He is in there holding Bayley for me while I get caught up blogging and let me tell you its taking forever. lol He works hard for us and he tries to spend time with Sydney & Bay and acts silly with them. I love to hear him sing his stupid silly songs to Bayley and even when he calls me Monster instead of Mommy.... hes not right. lol Bayley is such a precious baby girl. She has come so far and amazes me every day. I would never trade one minute of my time with her. I have a collage frame of her NICU days hanging in my office at work to remind me of how far she has come and she is just amazing. She wakes me up around 4am every morning and she reaches out and rubs my face and we hold hands until she falls back asleep. Those minutes are priceless and I dont regret a second of the missed sleep. Anyways...I could keep going forever on this so lets just sum it all up to I love my family and friends and I thank God for all of you!

This picture looks a lil crazy of Bayley but it kinda sums up the day. lol Sydney was better but still not great today. She slept for most of the day and hardly ate anything but atleast she wasnt getting sick. I got Bayley from Katies and we came home. Brian came in from work and I cooked soup and sandwiches and he IMMEDIATELY went to bed after he ate...that NEVER happens. He basically slept all night long. He had a headache and just felt bad all over. I was scared he was getting the virus so we stayed away! Syd slept in the recliner all night and me and Bay were on the couch. We watched Gilmore Girls some which was fun.

One baby peaceful and the other sick as a dog! Sydney went to eat at Shoneys and had the breakfast buffet about 10:30am. She started feeling bad around 12 and by 4 she came home from Devins and immediately the sickness started. STOMACH VIRUS/FOOD POISONING who knows which but all I know is that Sydney was Horribly sick! We were having our church services tonight but we all ended up missing because Brian had a meeting at work at 6:30 and of course Sydney was in no shape to go. Poor Syd basically had to take care of herself until her Daddy came home but then he was Super Dad for the night and took really good care of her! Go Brian! There was one point that Syd said to Brian... "Daddy everytime I move my head I get sick" to which Brian responded " well if I were you I wouldnt move my head" I laughed and laughed over that one...Sydney being sick wasnt funny at all but Brians words of wisdom in her time of crisis got my tickled. lol I am happy to report that no one else ended up getting her illness!

Today was pretty much uneventful. Gail watched Bayley at Great Grannys again. They had a good day. Sydney went and helped Barbara today. I think she had fun and they got a lot done.

Today was a pretty normal Sunday. Church...Captain D's (Sydney's choice lol) then home to nap and get a few things done and then back to church. Sydney was gonna be super big sister and change Bayley for me...until she realized Bay had a dirty diaper...notice in the 2nd picture she is covering her mouth...that is because she couldnt quit gagging...she cracked me up. I purposefully cut Bay out of the picture to protect her naked booty from internet freaks! lol

Today was a crazy day. We had christmas pictures made at Portrait Innovations at 10:30. That went good but I cant post pics yet because we use them as Christmas gifts too so I dont wanna spoil the suprise. lol After that we went to Chick-fil-a and Kaye & Lacy came by for a few minutes! It was so good to see them and they finally got to hold Bayley...they hadnt seen her since the NICU! We went and shopped a few minutes at the Galleria and then Toys R Us. It was good to kind of look around a little and get some ideas for Christmas.

Today was a good day! Gail watched Bay at Great Grannys because they are getting a new hardwood floor. They had a good day. We had a good night that night just hanging out and doing pretty much nothing.

Bayley has BIG eyes...and We are GLAD!









We went to see Dr. Metz today. He is Bayley's eye doctor. When we got there his nurse did a lil test on Bayley then she put 1 drop in here eyes and we waited. When Dr. Metz first saw her he said ... "wow she has big pretty eyes." He said that they were big enough to go ahead and do a full exam on her so he went ahead and put more drops in. After the exam he said that Bays eyes are on a 2-2 1/2 month level which isnt far from where she should be because her corrected age is 3 months. He was very happy with everything. He said her eyes are still premature but they have improved tons. He basically said unless we start seeing her eyes cross then we dont have to come back to see him!!! He said that her pediatrician can just check her eyes at 3-4 and for us to call him if we notice her having problems seeing before then. Go Bayley! Well her appointment ended up taking FOREVER so after talking to Brian I decided not to take Bay back to Gails. Me & Bay went by my office to get my pump and bottle bag. Everyone loved seeing Bay. Terri had her talking up a storm. Terri, Julie and Cindy all held Bay. Bayley LOVED Falesha but then again so does Syd! lol Thank Goodness Bayley was in a good mood while we were there and it was fun for the girls to get to see Bayley again. More tomorrow or soon lol

Wednesday

Today was a good day. Bay was at Katies. Katie said she was good all day. We went to church of course and nothing too exciting was happening. Sydney is so ready for school to be out for Thanksgiving break! She has been conditioning for soccer every afternoon after school and she has enjoyed that. Anyway... Bayley goes to Dr. Metz (eye doctor) tomorrow...I thought her appointment wasnt until January but apparently I was wrong because they had it scheduled for tomorrow. I will try to update tomorrow with the results of that appointment. More tomorrow. PS I starting using Picasa to blog because it is so much easier to use with the pictures but now I have to post on a day to day basis so you will have to scroll down for the older "new" posts...if that makes any sense at all!

Tuesday

Tuesday was a big day for Bay. Brian took Sydney to the dentist at 8:45 and then took Bay to the doctor for her RSV shot. She got a good report at the doctor. She weighs 11 lb 3 oz and is 22 inches long....yes that is exactly the same length as Lila. lol She is in the 25th percentile for a 3 month old which is right on track for her corrected age. Bayley was really fussy all day and all night long. She screamed for hours that night. We are hoping that wont be a every month treat for us cause it was no fun for her or us!

Monday

Nothing too exciting went on Monday. Bay was at Gails and had a good day. She did play with "Hee Horsey" tonight for the very first time! This was one of Syds favorite stuffed animals. It is so lightweight that she could pick it up and I think she had fun with it for a few minutes.

Sunday 11/11/07

Sunday was busy as usual. We went to church of course and then we tried to get some things done in the house and then back to church and we stayed afterwards for Rachel's 18th birthday party. It was fun. Bay had a good day.

Saturday

Saturday was fun. We were lazy and didnt do much. Bay obviously enjoyed some more tub time. I promise not to post this many pictures every time but I just love her faces...she constantly gives us crazy looks. lol Me & Bay did go to Meleahs 16th birthday party that night and it was fun.
