Today has just been off. It started at 1:30 this morning when Sydney came in our room crying her eyes out. She had heard something outside and thought someone was out there. She was literally scared to death. It took forever to get her to calm down and to be honest by the time I got her too she had freaked me out so we just both went and got in bed with Brian…now that was a site … all 3 of us in a queen sized bed. (Bay was in her bassinet beside the bed) Syd only stayed in our bed about an hour and she figured she would take her chances on a robber instead of listening to me and Brian snore. lol Bayley woke up around 2:30 -3:00 like normal…so much for a good night sleep.
Things were fairly normal that morning and then I got to church and Katie told us about Bronner Burgess dying. I know Rick is part of a radio show but I listen to them so much that I feel like I know them personally. My heart is broken for that family. Please pray for them.
After church we were all talking and I found out Rachel G. is only gonna be 29 on her Bday…Well that started the bday talk and it came to light that apparently Ive been thinking Im still 36 and I turned 37 in December. This was quite a blow to me since I was POSITIVE I was only 36. I also thought I was closer to Rachels age…sorry Rachel its not that I think U are older it is that I think I am younger…
I got home from church and did my normal blog check & found out that Kathryn Ellis is not doing well. http://gregkellyandmadelynellis.blogspot.com/ Kathryn is a precious lil baby girl who was born at 24 weeks at Brookwood. Her parents go to church with Terri Morgan that I work with and Kelly Randall that I used to work with. Kathryn has come so far and yet she is still having so many issues. Please pray for them. Pray that that doctors will figure out what is going on with Kathryn’s breathing & what is causing the problems.
There are so many in need of prayer right now, Betty Garrison, Bro & Sister Courington, please pray for them as well.

IT SNOWED IN PG!!! That doesn’t happen very often! We of course took Bayley out for a few pictures. Sydney had fun playing in it for the few minutes she was outside. … As you can see… we had plenty of milk and bread! It showed pretty hard for about an hour…but that was it then it was completely over. Me & Bayley enjoyed a lazy day including a 3 hour nap! GO ME!!!

Today was good but busy. Sydney’s Christmas present from Devin finally came in and she got it this morning…it was a GO-CART! She loves it! She drives us CRAZY wanting to drive everything in site…so maybe this go-cart will keep her from being arrested for driving w/o a license. Bay had a good day…Nothing exciting there…More tomorrow…

Bayley was with Aunt Jo today. Nothing too exciting went on. For some reason Bay isn’t taking her bottles too great the last few days. I have no clue what that is about but she is still eating her food good so Im assuming it is a phase and Im just gonna watch her and see what she does.

Bayley was with Katie again today. She had a good day. I got caught in major traffic tonight which always stinks on Wednesday nights when things are crazy busy already. Bay did good at church. I was feeding her during class and actually had to move her closer to Mrs. Susan because she was enjoying Mrs. Susan singing to them so much! It was so cute and if I ever wondered if all the rushing and craziness on Wednesday nights was worth it …tonight answered it because Im telling you she might not have understood every word but Bayley definitely knew what was going on. More tomorrow.

Bayley was with Katie. She did good today. Katie said she was in a good mood all day. YAY BAY! Bayley played so much tonight. She is really enjoying her Exersaucer. She loves to chew on the flower. I will try to catch a picture of her in it. Sydney rocked Bayley to sleep tonight. It was a sweet sister moment. More tomorrow.

Today was a good day. Gail had Bayley. Nothing too exciting to report. Bayley has been practicing her sitting up abilities. She is doing really good with it.

Today was a good but BUSY day. We went to church and then headed to Aunt Jo’s house for the Duke Christmas party. It was fun and stressful all at the same time. Bayley enjoyed opening gifts again. Lacy was impressed with her gift opening abilities. Lol After Aunt Jo’s me and Bay ran to the church to see if we could catch the end of Bible Bowl. We missed it. We went home after that and did manage to get a 45 minute nap in before church that night.

Today was fun. We got up and straightened up and then headed out to shop. We left at like 11 and didn’t get home until 7:30. We got a ton of stuff returned and that is good cause my trunk was full. Bayley did so good shopping. She is a wonderful baby! I forget to say that as much as I should. More later.

Today was totally normal. Bay was at Gails. She did good. Bayley was being lazy and pretty much slept ate slept ate tonight. It was a nice break. I love it when she is in cuddle mode! Lol

Today was a pretty good day. There was a threat of bad weather so of course Jefferson County Schools closed … and SO DID WE! I got off work at 12:30!!! I was very excited and definitely needed the break! I went and ran a few places that I have been trying to go to … then I went and got Bay and by 3 we were asleep on the couch! It was sooo nice! We woke up and the “bad” weather was over and so Me & Bay headed out to Hoover to eat dinner with Cindi & some of her friends for her B’day! Happy Bday Cindi! We had a really good time. Today started out HORRIBLE. This stupid cold of mine got drastically worse again last night...my throat was killing me and I flat couldnt breathe out of my nose or chest this morning...It burned so bad to breathe through my mouth...so I headed to the doc before going to work. I have tonsilitis & asthmatic bronchitis...shot of Rocephin & no I didnt act like a nut when I got the Rocephin shot and a shot Steroid shot. 7 days of Biaxin to take to knock this junk out! I am so sick of being sick I could SCREAM! I already feel better from the Steroid shot...Go Me! Bayley is better as well. She takes her medicine pretty good. In other exciting news...Bayley had 5 poop diapers for Katie today...sorry Katie but I thought it was noteworthy. Sydney is feeling some better. She definitely isnt over her infection yet but I think she is less uncomfortable. More tomorrow.

It was a nap & Brian was sitting in her room watching tv with her...I know I know...But as long as I can wedge her tail in the bassinett that is where she will be. Check out the various baby items in the background....can you tell this bed doesnt get much use yet?

Ok today has been long and crazy. I stayed home with Bay this morning to take her to the doctor and slept in...7:15 Go ME! It was 9am and I was waiting for time to leave when I got a text from Syd saying she didnt feel well. I ended up getting Syd and taking her to the doctor at the same time as Bayley. Now that may sound easy but it was a lil stressful. First off, I must remind you Bayley & Sydney do go to the same pediatric group but dont see the same doctor. Sydney saw Dr. Latona & Bayley saw Dr. Tindle. Sydney went in for the actual exam with Dr. Latona by herself (what a big girl lol) We were still seeing Dr. Tindle when she got through so she waited with us. We all went for blood work together. When the doctors called for us to come discuss the visit and results of everything they called both girls at the exact same time. Thank Goodness Dr. Tindle offered to let me go in with Syd first. Sydney has a bladder infection with possible kidney involvement. Dr. Latona said that her results were not good at all and he was surprised that she wasnt in lots of pain. He prescribed a Rocephin shot & 10 days of Bactrim DS. She goes back the week of the 21st to have the culture repeated. After that visit he wants Sydney to get evaluated by a urologist & have her kidney tests repeated (renal ultrasound & VCU.) (For those who dont know Sydney has 2 right ureters and she had severe ureteral reflux from both kidneys until the age of 5. She had horrible kidney infections that were very hard to control even taking daily antibiotics for years. So we definitely dont want any more kidney trouble.) Ok so after seeing Dr. Latona we went to see Dr. Tindle about Bayley. She said Bayley's bloodwork looked viral so the yucky cold is viral. We get to give her Mucinex 1 ml every 4 hours in an attempt to try to keep it out of her lungs. Dr. Tindle wasnt thrilled with Bayley's weight gain. She was 12 lb 15 oz and 24 1/2 inches long. She gained 11 oz and grew 1/2 inch in a month. Bayley rated in the 20th % for her corrected age which was down from last month where she rated in the 25th %. Bayley cried for the first time when Dr. Tindle got her. She definitely knows familiar people from strangers these days. Anyway, after talking to Dr. Tindle we headed to the shot room. OK DONT MISS THIS... Remember Sydney had to get a Rocephin shot & Bayley got her Synagis shot & the 2nd flu shot. Brenda was gonna give them the shots (she is a funny lady with a kinda dry personality...sweet tho.) ok So Sydney said she wanted to go first so she could leave before Bayleys cause she didnt wanna see Sissy hurting. From the time Sydney saw the syringe for the shot...SHE WENT NUTS!!! 14 YEAR OLD TEENAGE SYDNEY MADE MORE NOISE IN THE SHOT ROOM THAN A STINKING 3 YEAR OLD WOULD. She was saying LOUDLY...AWWW ITS GONNA HURT. DONT DO IT. She asked Brenda at one point if she could NOT give her the shot and just say she did...Brenda told her that if she didnt Sydney could end up in the hospital hooked up to tubes and she didnt want that...Sydney agreed to get the shot but continued to LOUDLY protest that needle. Brenda was looking at me like is that kid serious...we both were kinda tickled at her cause she seriously lost her composure. After the shot she limped around and acted like her leg was broken...she kept LOUDLY stating how bad her leg hurt. Bayley was grinning up a storm at Sydney & at one point Me Brenda & Bayley were all laughing at Bayley. Anywayz... Bayley took her shots like a trooper ... the flu she didnt react too bad on but she had a come apart with the Synagis. Brenda said it is a horrible shot. Ok anyway that is the basic drama of the day...lol By the way.... tonight was the first night Bayley SAT BY HERSELF!!! ok she technically didnt sit up by herself but she did manage to balance for 2-3 minutes...well during that time she hit her head twice and face planted into the mattress but its a start!!! We were all clapping and talking to her and she KNEW she had done something great! Proud baby Bay.

PS Sydney DEMANDS that It be known the shot was the size of Jupiter and the last time she had a shot in her leg was her last kidney infection when she was 5. (that is according to Syd...I think she has had one in her leg since then but w/e she is a drama queen & for the record the size of the needle for Sydney & Bayleys shots was the SAME...compare their legs it shouldnt have been that big of a deal. )

PSS Sydney insists I inform anyone who could actually read all this that her shot had more medicine in it and it "burnded" real bad. That kid just isnt right.

OK this isnt the best picture but she had just got out of a tub and she wasnt too thrilled with me.Today was a challenge. Gail had Bayley today and they made it fine. I was late picking Bayley up due to leaving a minute late from work and getting caught in traffic. Today was Sydney's first day back in school so when I got home she gave me the scoop on school. She has Honors Biology, Honors English, Visual Arts I & Soccer. She is gonna be a busy girl. Bayley seems to be getting a little worse wtih her cold. Im glad she goes back to the doctor tomorrow. This girl is WILD these days. She is hollaring and screaming and playing non stop. Sweet but exhausting! lol Bayley was good during church. It was so warm this afternoon that Me & Syd took Bayley for a ride in her stroller for the 1st time. I definitely need to get Brian to work on the straps because it was WAYYY too big but she liked it. Sydney spent most of the day working on her web site for Lads to Laders. I hope to get to post the link soon. More later.

Today could be summed up as LAZY. I have felt bad with this stupid cold I cant get rid of and Bayley has a lil stuffy nose so we refused to leave the house today. We took naps and basically stayed on the couch as much as possible. Bayley is in a new phase of SCREAMING...not just when she is upset but basically all the time. When she is "talking" to us she SCREAMS .... that isnt so sweet when I have already had a headache for days. I hope she outgrows this phase quickly!

For a sick baby she is pretty happy at times. This morning she was really happy one minute and then fussy as can be the next. She was at Gails today and seemed good. Nothing too exciting to report.

This picture says it all...its been a CRAZY SEVEN MONTHS! Miss Bayley is seven months old today! Go Bay! She has definitely got a cold poor thing. She woke me up off and on all night because she couldnt breathe. Bless her heart. She has no temp so we will just try to ride it out. She goes to the doctor on Tuesday anyway for her RSV shot. More tomorrow.

Bayley is offically a wild child! She was with Katie for the first time in over a week today. I think she must have had a great time...because she refused to sleep. lol I dont think that she took more than a 30 minute nap. lol Poor Katie. Bayley was good at church tonight except for when class was over she wouldnt shut up. She is definitely a talker these days! She played in her Excersaucer today for the first time in awhile and she liked it. She can finally reach some of the toys and so she loves to chew on them! We noticed tonight that Bayley is a little stuffy. YUK More tomorrow.

HAPPY NEW YEAR! Today was a good day. We slept late. Thank Goodness...then we all took our morning nap. Devin came over and him & Syd spent the day on the computer and car shopping a little (dreaming mostly). They played with Bayley a good bit and that was good. Bayley LOVES her Sissy. It is so funny how she can spot Sydney in a crowd and gets so excited because she knows Sydney is gonna play with her! I am so glad that Sydney & Bayley have each other. We weighed Bayley today with no clothes and no diaper and she was 12 lb 9 oz. I would have thought it would be more but I guess it will do! More tomorrow.
