3-29 Syd went on a field trip to the American Village. They had a good time :)

Syds 1st victory of the season and 1st time Syd scored!!

March 1st was Rachels first shower and it was at Sylvan Springs.

Syd went to Tuscaloosa for a few days during Spring Break. They came to Birmingham for lunch and to shop so I met them at the Cheesecake Factory. It was so fun and I was missing my Sydney tons.

March 21st I had a nasty stomach virus. It was a not so great beginning to a very busy week. Sydney played in the Metro Tournament this week. She played 3 games at different times across the city. It made for a very tired Kristina.

March 26th Daddy went to the ER with some indigestion type symptoms. He was admitted to UAB for observation until Monday so that they can do an Arteriogram.

March 27th We decided to go see Daddy for a little bit but before we went in we picked Mother up at UAB so that she wouldnt have to walk all the way to get her car. She INSISTED we drop her off outside Harbins and that she would go get her car. We got to UAB and almost inside the room with Daddy and Mother called me and said she had fallen off a curb in the parking deck and she was pretty sure she broke her arm. I left Brian with Daddy and I took off to Kirklin and when I got there one of the doctors and his wife were there with her and the ambulance pulled in right behind me. She first attempted to move to get in my car and quickly felt nauseous so we decided it was best to let the ambulance carry her to UAB Highlands. I met her at the ER and after some quick xrays they said her left arm was broken pretty bad. They had to set her arm and then put her in a cast and also put a splint on her right arm. I ended up getting her pain medicines and took her to the river. I had to run back to PG because Syd was going on her Anti-Prom that night. Brian stayed with Daddy and visited for a good bit. Daddy seemed to be doing good just had to hangout at the hospital until Monday. After seeing Syd off to AntiProm I went back to the River and spent the night with Mother since seh was still groggy from the stuff they had given her for pain.

March 28th We got up and Mother was dealing with the pain really good so we got ready and headed to UAB to be with Daddy. Mother stayed with Daddy at UAB that night. Alan ended up having to come get her when he got off work and run her back to UAB Highland to get the cast vented because she was swelling so much it was causing her a lot of pain.

March 29th. Daddy had his arteriogram today. He had 70% blockage at the front of his heart (right under one of his bipasses) and they put in a stint. The doctor said he did excellent. He got a lil nauseous and his blood pressure was up a little but overall he did greast. Mother has been in a good bit of pain.

March 30th Mother had an appt with her orthopedic doctor today so I picked her up and took her to UAB Highlands. Daddy got discharged so I ran back to UAB and got him all discharged. He is on some new meds and one of them gave him a horrible headache but overall he has done really good. The doctor told Mother that she will have to have surgery on Monday to put in a plate and screws. She really broke her arm bad. They got to the river & were very glad to finally be home.

3-27 We had left Bayley at her Gigi's while we went to visit Daddy at UAB. We had NO IDEA it would turning to crazy day that it did. My good friend Pam saved the day and picked up Bay and took her to the Easter Egg Hunt at Emily & Jareds house. She had such a good time. Thanks Again Pam!

3-27 Syd decided the Prom was just too complicated so she made her own Anti Prom

After dinner Syd & Courtney picked up Zach and hung out. They were gonna go bowling but ended up not going.

February 2010 Facts

February 12th brought more snow and Bayley LOVED IT! She had the best time building a snow man. I think her very favorite part was hitting Mommy with snowballs :)

February 18th Bayley got put in timout for running at school & hitting Ben (her boyfriend). I asked her why she was bad and she said "cause I hadda hit Ben" So I said "Aw Bayley Mrs. Becky was sad and you made God sad cause you werent being a sweet girl" She responded "but I HADDDA Hit Ben" and I said well Bayley what are you gonna do about it...totally expecting her to say tell Ben Im sorry and instead she said "Imma Pray bout it" :))) I love my little girl!

February 20th was my sweet neice Alana's birthday! Lizzy is such a smart pretty girl! I cant believe she is already 12 years old!!

February 23 My cousin Lita had surgery for Stage 4 Glioblastoma at MD Anderson. I am so glad to be able to say that we are nearing one year and she is doing really great :)

Syd went bowling with some of the youth.February 21st Lacy Duke turned 21!! It seems like just yesterday she was stealing my thunder as being the youngest grandchild! :)

Aunt Kaye and Uncle Jack got Baybay a new book! She loves it and we still read it :)

February 19th Jasmine won the Miss Bevel State Pageant :) She was sooo beautiful! Great job Jazzy.

Kim bought Lila and Bayley Matching Valentine's Day outfits! Are they not just too cute in their matching BFF outfits :) Sydney had a girls craft night and they made Ashes of the Ex Boyfriend containers. lol THey ended up so cute!

January 2010 Facts

January was an action packed month.
Sydney and I went to my friend Cindys 40th Cougars and Cupcakes Birthday Party. It was a lot of fun to have a girls night out with Syd.

1-1-10 Sydney went to Tuscaloosa to do some sips and strokes with Lacy.

It snowed January 7th, 2010. It was only flurries but hey that doesnt happen that often around here.

Bayley wore big girl panties all day on January 14, 2010 for the first time with no accidents :) She even had poops in the potty :) We were celebrating in the Maddox house!

January 14th Sydney & Brian went to see 101 Dalmations the Musical. I think they actually enjoyed it Sydney enjoyed a girls night to make some super cute pottery. They had a great time!

January 28, 2010 Aunt Jo had colon surgery done. The surgery went good but the recovery was rough.

December 2009 Facts

OK so it is obvious this is a year old but Im trying so hard to catch my blog up because I want to start blogging on a regular basis again and didnt just wanna miss a year. So Ive decided to do it as a FACTS monthly update. This means there will be facts but not necessarily in date order and wayyy more pictures than wordy descriptions! It was too hard to try to line things up. So here goes:

Christmas on River was so much fun! Amanda & JoAnna came with Syd. They laughed so much! Bayley LOVED all the lights and had such a good time. Cindi Hann and Christie all came down for a lil bit and Bay loved seeing Eye Momma.

Joanna & Manda asked for cute boys from Christmas....they were VERY upset with Santa because their wish didnt come true. lol

Bayley HATED Santa. She was freaking out from the Kitchen Window!!!

Christmas Eve at the Maddox house was a lot of fun. Bay had a great time.

1/3/11 Well first I have to say ...OBVIOUSLY Im SUPER behind on my blog. I just havent been motivated to blog lately but I definitely still want to get it caught back up and start blogging more often. So be prepared for loads of updates soon! :))

11/8/09 Sydney, her friend Joanna, Bayley and I participated in the fundraising walk for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. We joined TEAM SPIRIT which was founded by one of my best friends Cindi McGee. Cindi's kids lost their dad to suicide in 2005 so the walk was very bittersweet! It was an honor to walk with Cindi, Hannah & the rest of the gang. Bayley enjoyed some playground therapy while the rest of the group walked!

11/13/09 My parents took us out to the Comedy Club for an early Christmas Present. We went to see James Gregory's clean show! It was a great night. Sydney Joanna Amanda & Chandler all babysat Bayley for us. Im happy to report Bayley survived!!!

haha I guess this picture sums up October ... YEE HAW!!! lol It was an action packed month!!! We went to the river for some much needed relaxation one saturday afternoon. It ended up being quite funny because Sydney wanted to try fishing... as you can see below...it didnt work out that great and just ended up frustrating her to no end! lol

but it was relaxing before she got on her mission to catch the big one lol Bayley loved being outside with the cousins.

Brody was SUCH a sweetheart and pulled Bay around in the wagon! lol That wagon has gotten a lot of use over the years! lol

One Saturday was Bridesmaid fitting day for Rae & Stephens wedding. It was fun to see all the girls. Rae had kinda picked out a style of dress for each girl but had backups if anyone didnt like theirs ... well all the girls loved their dresses!!! These are samples of course but the actual color is really pretty.

I do belive we have the best lil kids class teachers ever! lol Emily decided to have a halloween party for the lil ones. Bayley had a great time! Emily red them books & they played games & watched a movie (or they attempted)!

They have all sorts of dress up days and a constant battle between the Juniors & Seniors! I guess the next picture tells you what side Syd was on!!!

hahaha ooo well this has a story behind it! The girls worked SUPER HARD making these cute shirts!!! They obviously were supposed to spell Juniors 2011 but some MEANIE stole Chandlers shirt so the O in Juniors was missing! lol

Leave it to my child to fix the situation. They swapped the zero to the O in Juniors and made chandler a zero out of poster board! lol Just how cute are they !!!!

October also brought lil miss Lila's second Birthday!!! She has a GREAT Party!!! It was a tinkerbell party!!!

Lila is Bayley's lil bestie at church! If you even mention church Bayley says two names "Mrs. Shushan & Lila!!! Happy birthday Sweet Lila! We love you very much!

Kim had the BEST birthday party activity!!! The kids (old and young) painted pumpkins!!! She even brought shirts for the lil ones to change into so that we didnt ruin clothes! As you can see Bayley really got into it!!! Obviously Bayley will be my artistic child as you will soon see!!!

Sydney had a great time paiting her pumpkin.... but she was wrong somewhere...VERY wrong... and SHE KNEW IT!!! so what did she do????

She signed MY NAME to it so that people would think that I painted the hideous thing!!! I mean seriously.... who signs their name to a pumpkin???? This is definitely a pumpkin that only a momma could love! lol

October also brought Bayleys first trip to the pumpkin patch!!! It was so much fun! We several families from church there and even though it rained a little when we first got there...the shower blew over and we had a great time!!!

Sydney was rethinking the whole NO Make-up thing!!! lol

Lil miss Thing had a great time picking out her pumpkin!!! and boy did she take long enough picking it out!!!

hahaha Syd somehow doesnt look quite the same as Bay did when she was sitting on her pumpkin! lol

Overall I have to say Our first Pumpkin Patch trip was a HUGE Success!!!

well.... except for maybe the pony ride....this is the closest she got to the cute lil pony! lol

This is funny to me... Bay was in the petting zoo with Pam ... they were looking at the chickens and a big ole turkey... problem is ... Bayley is PETRIFIED of feathers...Im talking girlfriend loses her composure if she sees a feather laying on the floor! It is a lil funny and a lil sad at the same time! lol I guess she didnt realize those things attached were actually feathers! lol

This day also brought another BIG milestone for Bayley....... DRUMROLL PLEASEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE........................................................................................... Bayley Lauren Maddox now has LIMITED access to THE PACI!!!!! That is right...her very bestest friend....her big old honker daddy paci is a VERY LIMITED buddy now. It was time...technically it was past time. lol We have noticed some spacing issues with her front teeth so before things get worse we decided to make the plunge...I had planned to start limiting her paci on Sunday October 25th but we unintentionally went to the pumpkin patch without a paci on the 24th and since we had made it most of the day we decided to go ahead...so our BIG GIRL now only gets her Paci at night night time!!!! ... and occasionally in the car on a big trip if needed ;) haha She has asked about her Paci A TON but I am happy to say we survived the initial seperation and things seem to be going good!!! My baby girl is growing up!!!

Syd also had a first this weekend....she went to her very first Haunted House!!! Syd went to Atrox with some friends and had a great time and survived!!! lol

The Friday before Halloween we went and trick-or-treated at Don & Gails with Corra & Becca. The girls had a great time playing! Are these two not the cutest Snow White's EVER!!!

haha we were trying to get a picture of all three girls together....it wasnt working...so I told Syd to get on her knees and try to get Bay to scoot by Becca and smile...when Syd got on her kneess...Bayley did too!!! lol

HALLOWEEN 2009..... What a fun time!!! Bayley was of course Snow White!!! and what a cute Snow White she was!!!

We went to the church for Trunk or Treat! It was a lot of funn.... well to us it was...Bayley didnt agree! lol She was PETRIFIED of anyone in costume!!! lol Especially the big peoplesss (grownups of course) She did like the snack foods with Papa! haha this is pretty much what she looked like the whole time we trick or treated!!! Poor baby was scared to death....kept saying...I go home...I go home!! lol

hehe Lila didnt care of Halloween either.....but definitely was more relaxed than Bay! lol Jaz looked super cute tho!

Syd missed Trunk or Treat. She spent the weekend with Rae in Jasper. They went to Alisha's halloween party! Syd was a nurse! she looked so grown up...well except for the flip flops! lol Something tells me Brookwood NICU will require real shoes with their uniform!

SEPTEMBER!

September 1st was the day that I have dreaded for SOOO long!!!! ........ Sydney turned 16!!!! WOHOOHOOO This day meant many things.... Syds pure excitement & joy at FINALLY being able to drive, Mom having to loosen the grip a little, and so much more.

Syd got up early to make sure to have enough time to open presents and also look super cute for her license picture :) We got Syd her Vera purse and wallet that she had been drooling over ;)

And of course officially presenting her with "her" car!!! She faked suprise for me :)

Now this one was real... lol She LOVED her cow license plate holder!!! This is one cow loving girl!!!

We went to Jacks to get a biscuit and then headed out to get her license. Sydney & Jared share a birthday & are also good friends. Jared gave us the heads up that Arkadelphia Road was not busy so we headed over there. Jared and his mom waited on us after he got his license so we could get pictures of our babies :)

Syd drove herself and checked into school!!!! After School, Syd, Bre, Joanna & Chandler all came by so I could get some pictures of my baby girl on her big day...DRIVING!!! Such a scarey thought!!!

I dont even wanna know how Breanne got this picture! But I do like the TWO hands on the wheel !!!

Pure Silliness!

I cant believe my first baby is 16!!! Where did the time go!???!

Sydney - you bring so much happiness everywhere you go! You are so funny & such a hard worker! I am so proud of your morals and your love for God. You have grown so much and you are such a strong person. You amaze me with your ability to bounce back. You have such drive and determination, I know that you are going to do great things. You are a great student and Im so proud of your grades & the hard work you put into school. You are a wonderful daughter and the best big sister ever. We all love you sooo very much!!!! Please Please Please drive careful and ALWAYS wear your seatbelt. and Remember... We love you sooo very much!!! Happy Sweet 16 Baby girl!!!

In other news during September... Poor bay ended up with the Flu!!! They dont grow the test out anymore but told us that it was more than likely Swine. Poor Bay had sky high fevers for DAYS on end. Even alternating Tylenol and Motrin every two hours she still maintained 103+ fevers.

Lil Miss would perk up when the Tylenol/Motrin were working and get a lil crazy on us! lol This is one of her latest fascinations...Putting clothes on top of clothes...ESPEciALLY panties! lol

Every high fashion girl knows that a bathing suit on top of your clothes in the new IN thing! :)

Aint no piggy flu gonna keep this lil princess down! :)

Syd & Breanne went to see Taylor Swift and Kellie Pickler September 16th!!!! They were SOOO excited!! They met Lacy, Bud, Christie, Desi, & Em for dinner before the concert!!! Syd said the concert was AWESOME and definitely one of the best concerts she had been to!

August Addition

On August 27, 2009 we lost my Aunt Bea. She was my Daddy's half sister. She lived in California. Anyone who says distance makes barriers is wrong because she was an active part of all our lives. She always called, sent cards and visited when she could. Her love and support meant the world to Momma & Daddy over the years. We all loved her and she will be missed!!
This is a picture that her daughter Kathy sent me after Christmas last year. Kathy & Kays son Cody is the cutie on the left!!! haha George is one of Aunt Bea's sons and he is in the middle and Aunt Bea is on the right. Such a sweet little lady :)

August was exciting.. I got a new camera WOOOHOOO yay me! So pictures will be back with a vengence.

August brought Six Flags for the Youth group. Sydney had a blast as always.

Syd also went with the Youth to the Southern Evangelism Conference and LOVED it. She was a lil leary at first but was so impressed so ended up going both days. The classes were AWESOME and she learned so much.

Hannahs birthday party was in August. It was at her house and was GREAT! Everyone had a great time. Josh grilled out and the kids had a great time playing on Hanns swing set!

There is a story behind this....Bayley was mad at Sydney and was telling her you NO come in.

Pam is so good with all the kids. Bay LOVES her. As you can see Pam takes sliding to a new level :)

August 13th was Bayley's corrected two year birthday. May seem silly to some but I would have given a million dollars to have been able to carry her until August 13th, 2007 and save her the pain and struggling she went through. It will always be a special day!

One Saturday we took the girls to the Botanical Guardens for pictures! It was fun. Bayley was pretty good but we didnt get the "money shot" that we were looking for. I have a 16x20 of Sydney that was taken in a field when she was two and I want to get a similar one of Bayley. We will keep trying. Our sweet baby girl!

Saturday August 29th began Sydney's Sweet 16 Celebration!!! She went to Buffalo Wild Wings with Breanne, Ricky, Chandler, Joanna, Amanda, Brett, Lacy, Bud, Desiree, and Emily! Christie was in the hospital again and couldnt make it. After BWW they all went bowling! She had a blast! Sydney loves all of her friends so much and they made her birthday super special!

Sunday August 30th Syd had her big Sweet Sixteen Party at church! I have to say a big thank you to Jaz, Rachel, and Billy for all they did to turn the fellowsip hall into the COW party of Syds dreams! lol I still cant believe that Syd is turning 16!!! How is that possible??

JULY UPDATE...

July Started with a trip to Paul & Amys for July 4th. The girls had a great time playing together. They got in a lil pool time. Bay loved it which baffled us considering she HATES the tub. lol

Jaz invited Syd & Breanna to Zacs house at the lake. They spent the night and had an awesome time! Zac came up the next day and took them out tubing. they had a blast. They finished their girl time with dinner at Sumos and a movie as Jaz's house!

Sydney went to the Ryan Kinder concert at Alabama Adventure. This was Sydney's first year to go to AA and she really liked it! Syd Breanne & Chelse went and met Lacy, Desi and Emily at AA...they stayed in the park all day then came to our house to get ready and they headed back to AA for the concert. They all love Ryan and syd said he did great. After the concert Syd went to Lacy's to stay until the forth. Syd LOVES ttown and staying with Lace.

July 4th was great! I always miss Sydney when she is gone so I was super happy to see her again! We all met at the river for a day of fun. It was a big crowd this year. All the usuals plus Buds parents and all the ttown girls came (Em, Desi, Christie). We had a great time and ate WAYYY too much!!!

Bayley HATES taking a bath...I mean SCREAMS every single time....and yet she got in her turtle float and had no issues with getting in the river... i mean small manageable tub vs. HUGE river.... that child makes no sense!

We ended July with an ALL DAY car wash for Soccer. We earned 400.00 which was GREAT! The kids actually all had a great time. We had a pretty good turn out...This is Syd and Mark...this is the extent of what Mark did at the car wash ;) Syd and several others worked from beginning to end ... others did NOTHING...but I guess that is just how things go.

And last but not least...in July Rachel asked Sydney to be a bridesmaid & Bayley to be her flower girl!!! They are both so excited...well Bayley is clueless but she sure will be the cutest flower girl ever ;)

Look who was super happy about turning TWO on June 3rd!!!
Bayley Lauren had a great birthday! She is such a blessing to us. Bayley has grown so much over the last year. At her two year old check up she weighed 21 lb 6 oz and was 32 inches long. She is getting soo tall! She is even on the chart for her height and is in the 10th percentile. That doesnt even seem possible! Bayley failed her speech part of her evaluation. She was supposed to be saying ten two the three word sentences but that isnt happening. She does say several single words but no multiples yet. Dr. Tindle said that she met the requirements to be reevaluated for EIS but said she wanted to just watch her for three months and to reevaluate then. Dr. Tindle is a big believer in Bayley and just thinks she is an independent little woman and will do things on her own schedule ;) Bayley is still getting one bottle a day (morning) and boy does she love her Bobble! Dr. Tindle said to stop that in mid August (Bay's corrected two year) Bayley has brought so much happiness to our house! She is DEFINITELY a Daddys baby. She loves to play and cuddle with Brian...so Sweet! Bayley LOVES her Sissis. Nothing makes her happier than to be in Syds room driving her NUTS! They do fuss and fight...you would think that nearly 14 yeras would stop that but NOPE not our two! I wouldnt change a thing! We are so thankful for our sweet Bayley Lauren and how great she has done!

Sydney went to Panama City the first week of June with her best friend Breanne, Chandler & their friend Chelse joined them later in the week! They had a BLAST.

June 2 Update...

Obviously its been awhile since my last update. Im gonna have to just do a general overview and lots of pictures of course. lol

Obviously Sydney had her knee surgery done on April 16th. She had a meniscus clean up and her patella tracking realigned. They did a patella plication (stictches in the ligament) and then did a right lateral release where they cut the tendons loose that were too tight.

Overall I will say she has done really well. She was on crutches for 4+ weeks and just got released from her thigh to ankle brace in the last week of May. She has been doing physical therapy for the past 6 weeks and will continue for atleast 4 more. YUCK! Syd was pretty sick from the anesthesia but after that wore off she handled the pain really good. Dr. Garth wasnt convinced that he was able to get her out of pain but he is hopeful that it atleast helped. He said she does run the risk of a repeat injury of her meniscus so lets hope she can avoid that.

Mothers day we went to Vernon for our annual trip. We went to Mothers first fir breakfast then to church at Kingville and by the cemetary for decoration to see the flowers and then off to Aunt Nellies. This is Bayley and Ella. Ella was so sweet to Bay and played with her. lol I always loved getting to talk to everyone and the food is to die for!

Syd joined in on the young adult classes girls night out! She went with Jaz and the group to eat, shop and then the movies! She had a great time!

Syd Lace & Breanne all went back to another painting class. They tried a different studio this time and liked it. Sydney was a lil disappointed in her painting...only because she couldnt do the writing herself because she was still on crutches and couldnt get to where she needed to be in order to do the writing good...she said she is going to redo it sometime soon. lol

AHHH.... Syd's fabulous Soccer team FINALLY won a game! It was after Syds surgery obviously but she was there on the bench rooting them on!!!She loves these girls!

OK this is out of order but the Saturday before Mothers day we went to Brian's Aunt Marys house for Gails family reunion. There was someone there did karaoke and sang the WHOLE TIME! lol We ended up sitting outside however the three lil cousins ended up loving it!!!

Lads to Leaders 2009

Lads to Leaders was GREAT! We had a wonderful time! Bayley traveled like a pro and made it super good all weekend. Poor ole Syd ended up sick again with her throat killing her. She did really good on Song. Debate had a funny moment. Sydney & Meleah both did great ...then syd had a blonde moment where she lost her train of thought and unfortunately it was when she was trying to make some point about Hitler and she said ummm Hitler like 3-4 times. She eventually got back on track but it will be a hard one for her to live down! lol She had a good attitude about it and we had a good laugh. lol Syd won 2nd place in scrapbook & 3rd place in web site. We got to shop twice & found several good deals. Bayley only had one meltdown all weekend so I consider it a huge success. By Sunday poor Syd felt terrible and after we hunted Easter eggs with Becca & Corra I took Syd to the doctor & she has a bacterial throat infection and has blisters in the back of her throat & a fever of 101. She got a shot and a Rx and seems to be feeling better.

OK here is an attempt at an update on Sydney. The highlights would be 2 trips to Ttown, spending spring break hanging out with her best friend Breanne, lots of Soccer & her upcoming knee surgery. I will start with definitely what I consider to be the biggest news. Sydney will be having knee surgery on Thursday April 16th at Children's Hospital. She hurt her knee a year ago in a soccer game...being the horrible parent that I am I kinda blew it off and just thought that she had stretched it and with rest it would get better. Long story short, rest didnt help, physical therapy didnt help, steroid shot didnt help, so we went to see Dr. Garth and he told us that her meniscus is completely covered with scar tissue & arthritis. He said she most likely tore her meniscus last year and it has just progressively gotten worse. Syd also is having a lot of pain from her patella tracking being off. Her knee cap constantly falls to the right and is off track. When they do the surgery Thursady they will #1. clean up and repair the meniscus #2 if fixing the meniscus doesnt allow the patella tracking to reset itself then he will first put stitches in the top of the tendon to attempt to tighten it #3 if that does not fix the tracking issue he will take a tendon out of her thigh and recreate the patella tracking. OUCH! If she only has to have the 1st part of the surgery the recovery should be pretty basic 4-6 week not too bad if the 2nd option comes into play that makes it 6-8 week recovery and if they have to do option #3 the recovery will be a whopping 4-6 MONTH recovery with 3+ weeks on crutches and tons of physical therapy. We are definitely praying we avoid option #3 and I think the chances are pretty good. The surgery is planned to be outpatient but if they have to do the patella tracking surgery she will most likely have to stay for pain control & she would also have multiple drains instead of just 1 and Dr. Garth just said that was a lil too much for a teenager to come home with. So I will definitely try to update this thing after Thursday and please keep her in your prayers!

Syd went to Ttown for Lacys 20th Birthday! She had a blast! Going to Lacys is definitely Sydney's getaway! lol They played taboo with the girls + Bud of course and also she went to 2 different Bama Baseball games! She had never been to a college game and she loved it!

Syd also played a soccer game in Ttown and Lacy, Emily, Bud, Desiree & Greg all came and were her fan club. They made signs for her! It was so cute. We went out eat and Christie got to come when she got off work! It was great! They are all so sweet to her and she loves them all!
Steph came and spent a weekend with us and it snowed on Sunday. Syd & Steph definitely got out there and acted 5 and enjoyed it for the few minutes they had before we went to church. lol O to be a teenager again!

Syd had an awesome spring break! Her and Breanne were together all week long! lol We ended up going to Ttown on Monday night and shopping then we went back Tuesday morning to shop Az Wells 50% off sale (WOOHOOO) and then we went to lunch with Lacy & Christie & ate on the strip & then we get to a Bama Baseball game that night. Bayley made it pretty good on our Ttown day & Sydney & Bre definitely had a blast! They spent the rest of spring break messing around PG and attempting to stay out of trouble. lol They of course went to Walmart at 12:01 on 3/21 and bought Twilight! lol

Syd had a soccer tournament April 3-4 at Moody and it was a LONG weekend. UGH. They had the late game on friday night so we didnt leave Moody until 10:45 and we had to be back there at 7am...IT STUNK! They lost all 3 games but we still had fun! Me, Syd, Bre, Chandler & Susan (bre's mom) all shopped inbetween the morning and night game and that was fun! The PG Boys team ended up winning the entire tournament! It was super exciting!

Alana won 1st Runner Up in her grade of her school pageant! She looked BEAUTIFUL! Bay made it pretty good through the pageant but as you can tell it was HOT in there! (Sydney had to miss the pageant because of a stomach virus YUK! )Wow it has been over a month since my last post so there is no way I will be able to tell everything that has happened and I have been working on a big post for awhile now and I just dont think its ever gonna happen so Ive decided to break it up into smaller segments. Here is a Bayley update. I am working on the Sydney update & a Lads to Leaders update so stay tuned!

Bay has had several doctors appointments over the past two months. The poor baby has had 5 ear infections & walking pneumonia in the past 2 months. She really struggled for awhile there. She is talking a lot more...lots of 1 words and a few 2 word phrases that she says regularly. She has mastered most routine words including Papi (for her Paci) which we have been working on for almost a year. lol You never know what she will come up with next. She is saying Go Baby & No Baby a lot!!! She must cheer on the kids at daycare or get onto them either one! lol Her hair has grown a ton! We can get it in a ponytail but not for long cause lil Keith pulls it down. I have started calling her lil Keith because she is a TOTAL daddys girl and would like nothing better than to trail along behind him 24/7. Not to mention it is like looking at Brian in tiny version only a female! lol Bay has completely come out of her shell at daycare. Her daily report cards are getting very interesting! lol She gets time out about 3 days a week for climbing on a table or throwing toys. Wednesday her report card said that Mrs. Sharyn asked Bayley did she want her to call her daddy ....and Bayley just smiled really big and kept on doing whatever she was doing! lol She is a MESS! They say that she cries or screams when she doesnt get a toy or something she wonts so when she starts screaming the other kids just give her whatever she wants so she will shut up...can you say DIVA! She loves to sing and cracks us with with her songs. She can do the motions to "Roll the Gospel Chariot along" and will sing a word or to! It is so sweet. She sings A LOT! She is so funny about what she eats these days. Pineapple is definitely a favorite. She is very opinionated. She LOVES suckers! O and she also has decided to call her drink a GINK which is a start so we will take it! lol She likes her pizza left as a whole slice & not in pieces, dont u dare cut up a hamburger lil girl wants it whole. She definitely knows what she likes. I cant believe little bit is 22 months old!!!!! She definitely is a total PRINCESS and in fact that is how I got her to not scream when I brush her hair is by telling her that she is turning into PRINCESS BAYLEY! She gets the sweetest smile on her face when she can show her Daddy how pretty she looks. She is a MESS!!!

First our Valentines Day, The girls had a good heart day...or as Sydney referred to it "Singles Awareness Day" lol. Brian got Bay the cutest lil dog and she also got M&Ms and a cute chicken cup. Sydney got Season 3 of John & Kate Plus 8 and Brian got her some Nerds & Laffy Taffy. Bayley also got a Twix bar from one of her daycare teachers and after some time and determination she finally figured out how to eat it and LOVED it! lol I had to post this picture because I told Brian to smile and this is the smile the goofball gave me. UGH. I must say Brian did great on Valentines day! He got me this superdedooper new grill! We needed one really bad and I was thrilled to get it especially considering I never even had to ask to get it! WOO HOO! Way to go Brian!

Sydney played her first soccer game of the season last night. They played John Carroll. They made it to the second half and then lost 10 - 0. I was quite impressed with the effort they put into the game. There are only 6 members of the 16 girl team that have ever played high school soccer before tonight. And 3 of the 6 girls who have played before have knee injuries. Sydney made it "ok" last night during the game. She said the pain was pretty bad but she made it the whole game. So I was very proud of her.

This is Syd about to kick a something or another...I still havent figure out what to call these side kicky things.This was the 2nd half. I am glad I got a quick picture because it only lasted about a minute before they 10 pointed them.Bayley was super impressed with Sissys soccer team!After the game I was standing around waiting on Sydney. John Carroll’s head Coach (Coach Neumann) was walking by. A PGHS parent jokingly said to Coach Neumann “why do you have to always beat us 10 - 0, couldn’t you just let us score one time?” Coach Neumann told us that “PGHS girls team are our role models.” He went on to explain that he noticed last year that our girls never give up and that he told his girls after our second game with them last year, where they 10 pointed us yet again, that they could learn a lot from our girls! He said our girls never give up and they play as a team. He said that he was impressed tonight when, at the half, our girls were down 9-0 however when they went back on the field they played like the score was 0-0 giving it their all. Coach Neumann said that he told his girls that our team were real winners and had been taught to play as a team and never give up. I think you could say we were the proudest parents out there. Yes our girls get 10 pointed every time we play John Carroll but their team spirit and love for the game definitely made an impression on someone! GO PGHS GIRLS SOCCER!

Here are the latest updates on my girls.

Jan 21st - Bruiser...aka Bay got her first black eye. I got a call about 9 that morning from the daycare (never a good thing) and they said she had gotten hurt and had a 1 inch knot that was swolen under her eye. They assured me the eye itself wasnt involved and that they had iced it and she was fine. Well by the time we got there at 5:30 she had herself a cute lil black eye. Dont worry we just dressed her in a few blue outfits to match her cute eye and she seemed to handle it just fine!

Jan 30th & Feb 9th- Syd went back to the orthopedic doc about her knee. Dr. Ellerbusch said that she needed a MRI to check for torn cartlidge or a divit behind her knee cap or other structural issues. He said if the MRI showed something he would recommend surgery now to fix it which would kill soccer season this year. The MRI didnt show a tear but did show an alignment issue and lots of inflamation so she went back for a steroid shot in her knee on Monday 2/9. He said that there was a possibility that the steroid shot alone could take away the inflamation and allow her knee time to heal. We are supposed to make a return appointment in 2 weeks if she has not had any improvement. If she improves at all then we will wait and go back in 6 weeks. Dr. Ellerbusch talked to Brian about referring Syd to a different surgeon at UAB to consult on a knee surgery. He showed Brian the MRI and pointed out the alignment problem, inflamation and fluid on the knee. So far Syd has not seen improvement from the shot. She is in pain pretty much on a 24/7 basis. It is not just when playing soccer or running. It has been hurting her since last soccer season so say a lil prayer for her that this shot will work and get her out of pain without surgery.

Feb 3rd - I took both girls to the doctor. Syd needed to get her soccer physical and also to talk to Dr. Latona about problems she is having with her blood sugar and Bay of course had Synagis. .....DRUM ROLL PLEASE.......... Bayley Lauren Maddox FINALLY weighs 20.0 lbs! WOO HOO!!!! We are super-de-dooper excited! She still had an ear infection but her UTI was gone. She failed her hearing test again so they are starting her on Omnicef which is a stronger antibiotic for 10 days and hopefully that will clear up her ears. We found out today that Syd has hypoglycemia which is low blood sugar. Syd has had several days at school that she felt really bad and the school nurse checked her blood sugar and it was 61 - 63. Dr. Latona talked to her a lot about changing her diet eating 3 good meals a day with a snack or two. Staying away from sugar drinks and candy. etc. Syd wasnt too thrilled with the whole cut out sugar part but it is what we kinda thought was going on with her. Other than that she had a good check up.

Feb 8th - We FINALLY had a Duke gathering which was supoosed to be at Christmas. We did things a little different this year and met at the Sylvan Springs Community Center. It worked out great and we all had a good time. I wish we all lived closer and could do more together. Syd of course loved having Lacy & Bud time. lol Bay & Ella had a lot of fun playing together. We were so glad it was a beautiful day we could get outside and let the kids play!

Feb 9th - Syds steroid shot in her knee (see above).

Feb 10th - Syds 1st soccer game was cancelled due to a schedule conflict with Moody.

Feb 11th - I took Bay to Children's today for a Renal Ultrasound and VCUG. She was NOT thrilled but overall handled things good. We found out during the ultrasound that Bayley was massively constipated (per the u/s tech) and that her kidneys are small...well DUH so is everything else she has! lol She does have reflux but only on one side. Dr. Tindle started her on Bactrim daily for a year then we will repeat the test. Bay's reflux is only a grade 2 which is nothing in comparison to Syds bilateral Grade 4. Luckily Bay has only had one infection and was not terribly symptomatic. Poor Syd suffered horribly with her infections which were constant even on daily antibiotics. So although we arent looking forward to daily antibiotics we are thankful that things are so mild because we definitely know it could be MUCH worse!

Feb 11th - Syds 2nd soccer game was also CANCELLED! grrrrr this time due to weather.

Now for a quick Brag moment on Brody! My sweet nephew Brody lost his first tooth! Also he is student of the month! Way to go Brody Man!

Just a quick update. I took Bay to the doctor this morning. Her right ear is still infected and she has a urinary tract infection. YUCK! She got a shot and 2 Rx. She has been SUPER fussy but overall hanging in there. Her weight was 19 lb 10 oz fully clothed...so no weight gain to report. She hasnt ate hardly anything the past 2 days but I did just get a Jacks milkshake and a few fries in her so maybe things are looking up. More later.

Our Girls Report Cards!

First I will start with Sydney. This has been a SUPER HARD year in school. They went from having a block schedule to this modified block craziness and with the addition of the AP & PREAP classes it has increased the hard factor tremendously. I have had NUMEROUS calls from parents concerned because their honor students are making D's and F's on report cards & PG has the highest D/F ratio ever this year. So that being said I consider this report card a victory...with one exception. If you will notice Sydney made a stinking B in HEALTH!!!! an elective! I thought my head was going to spin. I saw that she made a 75 on her final in there which was crazy because I mean seriously how hard could it be?!?! So I asked her about it and this was her response in "coded language" lol ...they were supposed to learn the inside anatomy of the male...well her teacher is sexist and kinda sleezy and syd said she was not gonna spend time learning the inside the male anatomy when she didnt have that equipment so she didnt study it...and made a 75 on the final which dropped her to a 89!!! GRRRRRRRRRR We had a pretty heated discussion on how she could have handled that decision differently!!! Syd hung on to a B in Chemistry BARELY...but we will take it! Overall we are proud of her grades.

And now for THE BAY! lol When Bay moved up to this latest class we requested a daily report again because we never see her teacher at all. She works from 9-5 so we will never get to talk to her or find out how Bay is doing during the day. So Ms. Sharyn has been great to fill out Bay a daily report like Ms. Anita always did. Yesterdays report cracked us up!

It is a lil hard to read but the morning report says..."Small girl but takes care of herself and all of them." and the afternoon one says "Fast one." Keep in mind Bay is in a class of primarily boys who tower over her in their height and especially WEIGHT! Several of those boys are BIG! She uses her speed as a defense against the big boys! lol I would love to be a fly on the wall with her mothering those big ole kids! lol Too funny! More later.

Time for the monthly update. Sorry in advance for it being so long…lol
I will start out with the obvious …. look at the difference a year makes!!

Our babies are growing up quick.

Ok here are our updates:
December 9th was my last update… after I updated Bayley started having poopy issues. This continued with 4-6+ blow out diapers a day for a full week. On the 12th we were trying to take our Christmas card picture and she threw up on me…I took it as a sign she wasn’t feeling festive. L Bay didn’t feel good at all and was lifeless that night. I had talked to the doctor Friday and they felt like it was just a virus.

December 13th was my birthday and I got to wake up super early and pick up 3 of Syds friends and take them to UAB for a 6 hour AP Biology lecture series. (Syd was super thrilled to be going!) I was supposed to spend the day shopping because we had barely got any Christmas shopping done… well Bayley seemed to be feeling better so Brian & Bay came to Toys R Us and met me to do some Christmas shopping. Bay was sweet but real clingy. I was looking at baby dolls and Brian was holding Bay looking at bikes. I saw him walking to me and I knew from the look on his face we were in trouble…she had thrown up ALL OVER HIM….TWICE!!! ooo it was ugly! Bless his heart and her tummy. After knocking over 10+ stuffed animals during our mad dash to the restroom (remember my buggy was FULL and I couldn’t even see over it) I got Bay changed and Brian cleaned up as good as he could and they made it out of Toys R Us and went home so Brian could take a shower. I checked out and talked to the doctor again and they sent us to the Childrens Afterhour Clinic. I met Brian & Bay at the doctor and we spent several hours there. The verdict was she had a virus…DUH! They said her weight was only 16 lbs which scared us a little but we were fairly confident it was just a difference in scales. Brian headed home with Bay & I picked up the girls at UAB…Happy Birthday to me.. lol

December 14th Bayley was feeling better…not perfect but better. After church we went with the 6th grade and under classes to ride the Santa Train in Calera. O was that an experience. It started by discovering that on the ride to Calera Bayley had an explosive diaper and her clothes were covered. Thank goodness I had the long pant bloomers that went with her dress in the car and luckily they somewhat matched her shirt. After the horrible clean up we joined the others and the train experience began. Bayley liked the train ride and was amazed that she didn’t have to sit in a car seat and could actually see the world. Overall she did really good on the ride. Now Santa…he made quite an impression. Lol Santa and Ms. Claus would go from seat to seat posing for pictures and talking to the kids. Bayley could see Santa coming and was acting really good about it. Well Santa was at the seat directly behind Sydney & had his arm on the back of Syds seat. Santa first patted Syd on the shoulder and then kinda goosed her…well lets just say Santas hand slipped and Syd now refers to Santa as “Perva Claus” lol OOO my it was funny. Syd was completely freaking out and was so funny about it. Well the more Syd reacted the more scared Bay got so by the time it was our turn…Bayley was totally freaked out and well Syd was too! Lol Pam also had a lil run in with Perva Claus. Ms. Claus apparently needed to settle him down a little. Lol I can honestly say that is one Christmas memory we will NEVER forget! Lol December 19th We went to the Wylies house for the Teen Christmas party. It was so much fun. The food was great. They made Gingerbread houses and it was quite a competition. They played Taboo and then watched a movie. Bay bonded with Mark! She stayed with him for the longest time.I couldnt resist posting this beautiful pic of Katie & Mia! Love you both! lol

It was after 1 before Syd got home and she had a great time!

December 20th Syd left for Ttown. We went to Tuscaloosa and did some Christmas shopping. We had a good time. Sydney got Bayley the cutest outfit at LaShae’s. They have the cutest stuff. After shopping til we could drop, Uncle Jack, Aunt Kaye & Lacy came to the mall to pick up Syd. We ate with them and then I headed home. I went back and got Syd on the 23rd and got to meet Bud which is Lacy’s new boyfriend. He is really nice. I am so glad that Sydney & Lacy are close. Lacy is such a good cousin & friend to her. We all love Lacy, Uncle Jack & Kaye so much!

December 21st After church we had Christmas at Don & Gail’s. Syd had to miss it because she was in Tuscaloosa. Becca & Corra have grown & changed so much. Becca is so smart and was sweet with Bayley. Corra & Bayley were a hoot together. Bayley would have a toy and Corra would want to play and Bayley would turn her back to her and hide the toy being stingy. Lol Im not sure if she will ever catch on to share. The girls all had a great time opening their gifts. Becca got a Dora doll and some art stuff. Corra got a train that was a big hit. Bayley got her doll stroller and a baby. She loves it and plays with it a lot. The girls got a ton of other stuff but of course I cant remember much now.

December 24th I worked half a day then we went to have Christmas with the Maddox clan at Brian’s Grandmothers. It was fun as usual. Syd finally got to see Corra & Becca and couldn’t believe how much they have grown. I figured out when we were there that my camera is broken so I dont have many pictures :(

The food was great as usual. We all had a really good time. After we left there we went home and the girls opened their traditional Christmas Eve PJ’s and we read Twas the Night Before Christmas and baked cookies for Santa. Syd tried to protest but I told her that she will never be too old for traditions. Lol

December 25th Christmas was so much fun! Bayley got us up at 7 ...yup we slept late lol After a quick bottle we woke up Syd & they came in together to see what Santa left them. They were excited..well actually I dont think Bayley had a clue what was going on except she liked her stuff. lol She was funny opening her presents and had a blast riding in her car. Brian is quite funny pushing her fast through the house. lol She has now mastered the horn which is an added bonus. Syd was super excited when she got to her laptop. She had wanted one but I think she thought she didnt get it.

Syd was super excited about the cute outfit she got Bayley! We all love it!Hayley & Brock were excited as usual. After watching some tradtional Gilmore girls, we showered and headed to Mother & Daddys for Christmas there. It was super fun as well.

Bayley LOVES her Santa that Lucy (Brians coworker) got her. We had to take it to Papas so she could dance with Santa for him.Brody was a mess. I think he got everthing Transformers ever made, including a mask that changes his voice. lol Syd got her usual clothes, jewelry, movies etc. Alana Lizzy got clothes, a game for her PSP and I dont remember what, Brody Man got more transformer stuff and boy toys, Bay got her guitar, and her push popper thing, and a ball and lots of other stuff I cant remember. We had a good time. Right before we left, Papa & Bay cooked some good food and had fun pretending to eat out of the pots and pans. lol It was too cute.

December 27th - 30th Syd went to Huntsville for Exposure with the youth from church. This was Syds first trip to Exposure and She loved it! She roomed with Jasmine, Meleah & Mrs. Susan. She loved all the classes and the singing. She didnt have a single complaint (which is super amazing! lol) I think all the youth from church hung out together pretty much all weekend. They shopped at the mall and went to a hockey game. Syd said she at some good food at Carrabas with the boys (Alex, Zack, Joey & Landon) while the girls (Jaz, Breanna, & Keri) shopped some more. lol She totally enjoyed it and cant wait til next year.

December 31st I worked and Brian stayed home with the girls. Syd went to Roebuck Parkway with the youth to their Teen New Years Party/Singing. Syd said she had a really good time.

January 1st Was great. We stayed in PJs all day long and watched Gilmore Girls again and took naps. It was a much needed break! Me & Syd painted Bays toenails for the first time. She was super excited and kept pointing to her feet.

January 2nd I worked...bummer. Brian stayed home with the girls and they came to take me out to lunch because it was our anniversary! We went to Macaroni Grill. It was yummy. Bay was facinated with the fireplace and enjoyed the bread. lol After that I headed back to work & Brian & the girls goofed off and shopped around some. They rode down to Mt Laurel and Syd fell in love with that town. lol

January 4th After church the teens stayed and had a game night. Syd had a great time. Rachel & Stephen came and Stephani Brown was there and all the regulars were there. Jas was sick so she had to miss. They ate pizza and goofed off. Im so glad Syd has such a good youth group to spend time with.

January 5th Bayley moved up a class today. She stayed with the same group of kids and just moved 1 class over. Her teachers are now Ms. Sharon & Ms. Phillis. I met them several months back when I went to meet Ms. Pat. Our only complaint about the move was that we dont get to talk to either of her teachers at all. Both Phillis & Sharon work 9-5 which is an issue because I of course want to know how Bayleys day went. (I did call the daycare on the 7th and talked to the Director and they are going to have Ms. Sharon & Ms. Phillis do a daily report for us so that we will know how Bay has done and we can keep up with her tummy issues.)

January 6th I took Bay to her Synagis appointment. She weighed 19 lb 9 oz ...Im beginning to wonder if she will ever weigh 20 lbs. Although I have to say Dr. Tindle i good she predicted months ago that she would hit 20 lbs at 20 months. lol Bay has been coughing a ton at night and Dr. Tindle said both her ears are infected. She did the ear beep test (cant remember what it is actually called) and Bay failed both ears. Dr. Tindle said her throat was also red. She put her on an antibiotic. Dr. Tindle was so happy with Bay's walking. She is so stable. Dr. Tindle really wants us to work on saying Sissy, Cup, Paci, Bottle, etc. Dr. Tindle was amazed at how many teeth Bay has gotten in one month. She has 2 on the bottom in the front, 1 all the way through in the back on the bottom, she has 1 all the way through on the top (which looks so funny by the way) then the other front tooth is coming through now and she got both of her back top teeth and they are coming through really good now. She is so funny eating animal crackers with her new top and bottom teeth. lol I told Dr. Tindle I thought her weight gain could be attributed to Jacks milk shakes & Chocolate Chip cookies! Aunt Jo & Gail both made homemake chocolate chip cookies at Christmas and let me tell you Bay LOVES them!!! She will eat 2-3 cookies at a time! My girl also can suck down 1/2 a milkshake from Jacks without even stopping! lol She cracks us up! lol Dr. Tindle said keep the milkshakes and cookies coming!

January 6th was also back to school time for Syd and it was a total bummer. It is finals time so there is no fun to be had at school. Syd did get to go to do a painting tonight with Lacy, Christie, & Emily that night. She had a blast and loved it! Her painting is so good. I do believe I have the best cousin in the world and I am so thankful that Syd has her and they are so close. I love you Lacy Duke! Christie is just amazing. She is doing so good after her transplant. She has her rough times but has such a good outlook on life. Emily is the sweetest thing ever. I hate so much that she lives in California. I think she has decided to trasnfer to Alabama and we are so excited! Sydney just loves her to death and cant wait to see her more often. Spending time with them was a great way to finish off Syds Christmas Break!

January 9th Bay was having some tummy issues today. She is pretty constipated pretty bad. I am going to give the antibiotics 1 more day and see if they kick in and if not Im gonna go ahead and give her something. Syd had 3 girlsfriends over to watch movies and do study guides...ha as if they actually touched a study guide. They did have fun eating pizza and watching movies.

January 10th We went to the river after lunch to see Mother & Daddy. Mother grilled out burgers and it was yummy. Bay found the candy stash and enjoyed a candy bar or two. lol OOO she also colored with Papa.

Now this is a REAL masterpiece. Papa even autographed it for Bay since we all know people would pay big money for art work this good! :) Shhhhh...dont tell anyone that Papa colored...its supposed to be a secret!

On a not so good note, Bays tummy was no better today so Dr. Tindle had recommended we try Miralax...wow did it work. lol She cleaned her system good. The only issue we had with it was the unbelievable gas that Bayley had afterwards...I mean during church the next day I ended up taking her to the nursery because she was stinking up the whole back of the church lol. Bless her lil stinky heart!

Anyway, Sorry again for it being so long. I have got to start blogging more often!

Im working on a major blog update ...however I wanted to please ask everyone to pray for Aaron Randall. He flew into Costa Rica today at 12:44 and a earthquake hit at 1:21. Kelly has not been able to get in touch with Aaron. We know that his plane landed safely but that is all Kelly has been able to find out. He is traveling with 9 coworkers. Kelly used to work with me at APS and is one of my best friends and she is of course sick with worry. Please keep all of them & their families in your prayers.

Wow It has been WAYY too long (thanks for the swift kick Mrs. Susan! lol) Im gonna definitely have to just hit the high points because there is no way I can list everything that has happened in a month. lol

Lets see we have gotten to see my friend Cindi several times lately (Eye Momma to Bayley) One of our trips over there we got to spend some time with Catherine McGee (Billy Paul & Allison's oldest daughter) I have to say she is just BEAUTIFUL and the sweetest thing. Bayley fell in love with her. Catherine was so sweet and played with her for the longest time! Unfortunately Catherine, Chance & Hannah all the loss of a parent in common. Catherine looks so much like Allison to me. She stayed nearly a week with Cindi and the kids and got to see Billy Paul a couple of times and Cindy also.

OOO and I have to say...on two different occasions Bayley has been quite taken by Chance. lol He picked and played with her some and I even caught her flirting with him a little. lol It was so cute. He kissed her on the cheek when we were leaving and she just laughed. lol Too cute!

OO and I must brag on Chance. He is working at Toys R Us as Christmas help and is working nights. This has been very challenging but he has stuck it out! This has to be one of my favorite pictures of him. Cindi took it several weeks ago. He is such a cutie. I love that boy to death! I dont have a current picture of Hannah. She has been at work everytime I have been by there lately. But she is doing sooo good at school. Im so proud of her. Sydney went to Tuscaloosa to spend some time with my baby cousin Lacy the week of Thanksgiving. She had a GREAT time! She got to hang out with Emily (Lacy's friend from California) and Christie (Lacy's friend who just had the double lung transplant). They shopped A TON and Syd even found her new favorite store. lol They ate out with My Aunt Kaye and Uncle Jack and Syd went to work with Lacy and tanned while she was there. lol I went to get her and we shopped some more before we came home. We will definitely be making a trip to Ttown before Christmas!

Syd also got to go to a concert at Workplay last night with Lacy and Desiree to see Michael Warren and Ryan Kinder in concert. She had a great time! Lacy is such a good big cousin to Syd and my ABSOLUTE favorite baby cousin! lol

Syd is hanging in there at school. It is like rediculous hard these days. there are so many people failing and with D's. She is still holding on to A's and B's but who knows how long that will last. AP Biology is going to be the death of her. I dont know how many more college classes we will be taking on before college...I mean seriously she is 15 and in 10th grade....isnt that a little early for college?

Saturday we started out day at Billys and got my haircut. Bayley LOVED eating Jacks Hashbrowns with Marty. lol She just climbed (with some help) up in the chair beside him like she was 12. lol Afterwards we did our first big shopping trip. Sydney took Bayley on the carosel for the 1st time and she liked it a lot. I think we are going to have to resort to power shopping and gift cards! lol We have no clue what to get Bayley. Syd has PLENTY of stuff that she wants but Bay is happier with Madagscar Happy meal toys and a box. So if anyone has any ideas...send them my way.

Last but not least here is my Bay update! She is just a joy these days. She is so funny and is doing really good. She is FINALLY getting another tooth...this one is on the top that makes 3 teeth for Bay! WOOO HOOO. I took her to the doctor today for her Synagis and also her 18 month check up. She weighed 18 lb 14 oz and was 30 inches long...EHHH. Dr. Tindle said we are just going to have to redefine what we consider a good weight gain. lol She wasnt thrilled with Bays weight gain but did say that she is atleast making her own curve again....meaning she is consistently gaining at a steady rate it just isnt anywhere near what we want her to do....but that is ok. Bay showed Dr. Tindle her new favorite thing..her bellybutton & also said Duck for her! It was quite exciting and Dr. Tindle was impressed! Bay is now a very unhappy girl. she had to get 5 shots...yup 5 (HIB, Polio, Hep A & 2 Synagis shots).... She was just pitiful! Brenda (one of our favorite nurses) was soooo mad that she had to give her baby all those shots. We are so lucky that we have such a good doctor & nurses for Bayley.

Anyway, that is not nearly everything that has been going on but it is alteast a dint into our lives. I will try to update if I think of anything else exciting that has happened.

NEGATIVE. We found out this afternoon that Bayley's Cystic Fibrosis test was negative!! Thank you all so much for your concern and prayers.

We didnt get results on Bayley's CF test today. They close in 15 minutes and Dr. Tindle's office still hasnt heard so it will be tomorrow. Gotta love waiting. I actually havent been too freaked today. I just think things are going to be fine but I sure will be glad when we know it for sure.

Now I will tell what happened on Friday. Bayley had her 2nd EIS evaluation and it ended up going GREAT! I loved the speech pathologist. She was so nice and very informative. She said that Bayley does have a significant delay. They rate them in 3 different areas of communication and Bay passed all of them except expressive communication. She suggested taht we immediately begin using sign language with Bay not to take the place of verbal communication but to allow her another avenue to express herself. SHe said that it actually works to spark communication interests and that kids actually do better verbally when involved with signing. Who would have thought it. lol So I bought a sign language book Saturday and we are SLOWLY learning. Paul & Amy have a video that we are going to borrow that should help also. Right now we are working on the sign for eat, more and cup. We will introduce other signs gradually. The therapist said that as her signing skills improved that Bays frustration level would decrease because she would be able to actually tell us what she is wanting or needing. She said within 5 minutes of being there that yes she did have a couple of autistic traits but that SHE IS NOT AUTISTIC not even mild. lol She said Bayley even scored above average on one of the 3 areas of communication. It was very reassuring to have someone tell us that yes she is delayed BUT she is still doing great and there is no reason why she cant progress and eventually catch up. I was very happy with the outcome of the evaluation. It gave me reassurance that we are doing the right things and also gave us something new that we can do to attempt to help her. Overall I consider it a HUGE SUCCESS! lol

Sad heart, waiting, anxiety and crossed fingers

First I have to say my heart is broken for Josh, Katie & Hannah and the loss of their very loved unborn baby. We know the pain that they are experiencing and wish so much that there was something we could do. We love all of you and you are in our prayers.

My Daddy went back to the doctor today. They were reviewing all of his recent chest xrays, chest ct, biopsy results from his face etc. His Cat Scan showed something that they suggested watching for 6 months and repeating the ct. The doctor has decided to go ahead and send him to pulmonology and see what they think. I like that idea better...6 months of waiting is a lil much for me.

We have our 2nd EIS evaluation this afternoon. (That is if they dont cancel again...grrrrr) Keep your fingers crossed and say a prayer that Bay will cooperate and do something besides Woof and scream BITE! lol

Monday at 10 is Bays CF testing. One minute I am completely calm and this is just precautionary and silly and the next minute my anxiety is through the roof! lol It is easier when Im at home because brian doesnt get excited about anything so he keeps things good and calm! lol They told me today that we should be able to get results from our doctor on Monday at some point which is a relief that we wont have days more of waiting. Hopefully we can put all this behind us and take some deep breaths next week! More later.

UPDATE: Nevermind. She cancelled! UGH!

Exciting development. Bayley is having her 2nd EIS evaluation TODAY at 4!!!! Keep your fingers crossed and say a prayer that the DIVA will cooperate! lol Unfortunately she wasnt in a lovely mood this morning so who knows what is going to happen. I am just thankful that hopefully we can get some results at some point next week maybe. All this waiting is making me a crazy person! lol I will update after the evaluation.

I just heard from Dr. Tindle's office. They scheduled Bayley's Cystic Fibrosis test for Monday November 17th at 10am. Ugh its gonna be a long 5 days but o well Im sticking with my gut and I really think she is gonna be fine.

Bayleys new weight gain program....cheese straight from the can. lolQuick update. Things went from bad to worse the last few days but hopefully they are looking up. Sunday Brian and Bay stayed home with pink eye. Brian had it much worse than Bay. They are better now. Yesterday me and Syd had a horrible stomach virus. Brian had a touch of it but he was way better than us thank goodness and was able to take care of Bay. It was NOT a good day!!! UGH. We are way better today but still weak and kinda blah. I took Bay to the doctor today for Synagis. She got a ugh report. She weighed 18 lb 7 oz. EHHH Dr. Tindle said it was time to go ahead with the failure to thrive workup because she is so far from where she needs to be. So today Bay got her 2 Synagis shots and then we went to the lab and got her hand stuck for her thyroid testing. Bay has had better days bless her heart. They are scheduling the CF test at Childrens and will call me with when the appointment will be. My gut says she is fine and just always gonna be little but I will be glad when the tests are over and I can relax.

This is gonna be short and sweet. My Daddy is going back to the doctor at 3 today to get his stitches out. Other than that he is doing good.

I talked to EIS again. I apparently got false information from the 1st lady regarding how the process works. I called Tuesday to get the results and was told that they didnt give out test results from the 1st test because it alone is meaningless. We are on the waiting list for the speech pathologist to call us to schedule for the next evaluation. I am supposed to call them back Wednesday if I still havent heard from her. After we get that evaluation they will mesh the 2 scores together and that is the result that matters. So no news yet.

Syd is doing good. Teen years are hard but she is hanging in there. She has been hanging out with some really good friends and having a great time!

Im heading to Christmas Village today with my friend Christy and Im super excited. I havent been since Sydney was little. Tomorrow is Addi's pageant and we cant wait to see her all dolled up! I know she will do great! More later.

My Daddy made it through his surgery good. It was LONG but they feel confident they got it all.

Bayley just had her EIS evaluation. We wont know the official results until Tuesday but the lady did tell me that Bayley was significantly delayed. She observed Bayley for about an hour and asked lots of questions. She said that what we perceived as Bayleys fits arent just temper related. She said that a lot of it comes from frustration because she cant get her point across. She said that she has to imput her evaluation adn then we would be able to get the official results on Tuesday. She said that we would probably meet with a speech person next and then they would tell us what all exactly Bay will need. I will keep you posted as we find out more.

Anyway, we are hoping Halloween looks up. I will post pictures later.

Big catch up

Ok here are the highlights of what has been going on with us.

Oct 21st I took Bayley to daycare and got to meet all of the teachers that will be in her big girl class. I liked them all. I really LOVED one of them... she is technically in the class above Bayley's but they kinda work together. She is a foster parent and last year had 3 preemies at once (a 23 weeker, 27 weeker and a 29 weeker) so I felt GREAT about her being around. October 22 was supposed to be Bayley's first full day in big girl class (12-18 months) but we both ended up sick. I stayed home from work and went to the doctor and while I was there the daycare called and said Bays cough had gotten worse. So after I left the doctor with 2 shots and 4 Rx, I went and got her and we went to see Dr. McDaniel. Bay weighed 18 lb 3 oz and she had early croup & a sinus infection. She got 2 shots and 2 Rx. In total we spent $138.00 in prescriptions and $60.00 in copays....UGHHHHH! I stayed home with Bay Wednesday & Thursday. Poor Syd was sick too with a cough that wouldnt go away so luckily I had enough antibiotics around to go ahead and treat her too.

Oct 25th We went and shopped some for halloween costumes and decided we were better off just making something ourself. Gail has helped us out with Syd's Pebbles costume. I think it will end up cute! We ended up just watching movies and goofing off all night.

Oct 27th was Bayley's first official full day in big girl class. She did great!!! Believe it or not she slept 2 1/2 hours in a cot WITH HER PACI! :) She played with the big kids like she has always been in that class....and she ate a ton! I have to say that I predict our next doctors visit with Bay she will have a BIG weight GAIN!!! Im telling you she is heavy now. Im scared to put her on our scales at home because I dont wanna be disappointed but Im telling you she even has a lil belly. She has been on steroids for a week and it is like she has had the munchies! She is cracking us up!

Oct 28 Bay had another good day at daycare. She slept 3 hours and ate good again! woohoooo.... After work we headed to Gails to check out progress on the pebbles costume and then we went to the thrift store to get a few things for Syds outfit. After that we ended up meeting Cindi for dinner. Bay was so excited she loves her "EyeMomma". lol We had a good time and then we ran by Cindis to pick up a few things she had gotten together for Syds outfit. She ended up finding a neighbor with the perfect thing for Syd to borrow...Gotta wait til I post the pictures to find out what it was. Anyway, we ran to Target & then home just in time to get Bay to bed.

School is going good for Syd. She went to an AP Biology study session yesterday. She said it was Super Boring but she got extra points for going so believe me Im glad she went! lol

We have had a scare going on with my Daddy this past week. I was scared to post anything because some of our family didnt know what was going on nad there was no need to get everyone excited until we found out more. Basically my Daddy had several skin biopsies done a week or so ago. They came back that he has a squamous cell cancer on his left cheek and the place on his right jaw area came back that it could have possibly been a metastisis from a different cancer. After comparing a previous biopsy from that spot, going to see Dr. Goldfard, and having a head and neck CT they have decided that they think this is another squamous cell. Daddy is going to have surgery on Friday at St. Vincents so we will know more then. This certainly appears to be a better diagnosis than they first feared and for that we are very thankful. Please keep my Daddy in your prayers on Friday.

Oct 29. Today was good. After church tonight we had Trunk or Treat. Didnt my "COW GIRLS" end up cute!!! Bay was the cutest cow ever and Syd decided last night that she wanted to go as a cowgirl to go along with Bay being a cow. Cindi had a neighbor that had the cow print cowboy hat & the black boots! They were perfect!!!

You gotta love her smile!

I dont know where to start. Lets see...Oct 14 I took Bay for her 1st Synagis shot of the year. Bay had a whopping weight of 18 lb 2 oz and her length was still 29 1/2 inches long. She was up 1 lb from 6 weeks ago. We were really wanting her to be between 18 lb 8 oz - 19 lb but Dr. Tindle said it was a gain so we will take it. The weight gain was good EXCEPT it threw her in a higher Synagis dose which meant they had to split it into two different shots - one in each leg. OUCH! Dr. Tindle checked her over good and said she thinks her cough is just allergy/viral. Her blood work looked good so no meds for Bay. We talked A LOT about Bays talking. On a daily basis Bay says Dada, Bite & Woof...and that is it. she has said other words in the past but doesnt use them on a regular basis. Dr. Tindle said she felt like it was time to get a EIS (Early Intervention Services) evaluation just to see what they say.

I called and have gotten the EIS evaluation process started. I have dreaded this for months and months but after talking to the EIS coordinator Im not as worried! Shocker I know. She said 70% of all the kids evaluated dont qualify for EIS Services/therapy. You have to have a 25% deficit in one or more areas in order to qualify. Long story short...after doing the questionnaire she qualified for evaluation based on slow speech and she has several markers for autism. I am trying not to worry and hoping that she will be in the 70% that end up being just fine. It will be atleast another week or two before they do the evaluation. Say a lil prayer for Bay...although my gut says she is gonna be fine prayer is always good!

We have been getting ready for Bay to swap classes in daycare. She is still in the 9-12 month class now and needs to move up. I went today and met the teachers. They were all nice. We are just a little shocked because the next class they sleep in cots and they have a NO PACI rule...well that is getting changed because Bayley is getting her paci during naptime...rules were made to be broken and no body is taking my girls paci at this point...maybe later but not now! This will be a big change for Bay (no morning nap, no morning snack, only 1 cup a day) I am really dreading the adjustment period. The class she has been in has been wonderful to basically feed her all day everyday but this next class they just dont do that so I am a lil concerned that it may hurt her weight gain...keep your fingers crossed!

PG just had homecoming last week. My friend Cindi came over and we took Bay to her first football team Brian wouldnt go :( We had a great time. Cindi (Eye Momma to Bay) spoiled Bay rotten letting her climb all over her and get away with murder! lol Bay LOVED the Band and clapped along with them. it was so cute.

Syd is doing pretty good these days. Teenage years are filled with constant ups and downs but somehow she always ends up on top. We are so lucky with her she is such a good girl. She has just done FABULOUS in school the last few weeks!!! Forgive me of my proud momma moment and check out Syds 1st 9 week report card!

UPDATE # 4: I just got a text from Kim (4:42). They took Mary into surgery about 30 minutes ago! Please keep Mary in your prayers and also the lil 2 year old baby that is getting the other portion of the liver. PRAY PRAY PRAY!

UPDATE: I just talked to Becky and she just left UAB (3:30) and MARY IS STILL WAITING!!! Bless her heart! They have the liver. They are splitting it now. Hopefully surgery will happen around 4. PRAY PRAY PRAY.

UPDATE!!!!: Kim just called me at 2:15 and said Mary is still in the surgery holding. They were supposed to have the liver about 1:30 and Kim had just seen Mary and she is still waiting. Kim said Mary had held up really good but they have given her some "loopy" medicine and are ready to go. Kim said it looked like it would be around 2:45-3:00. UGH what a horrible wait for all of them. PRAY PRAY PRAY

Kim called Katie about 1;15 and said they had just took Mary back. Katie said they are expecting about a 6-8 hour surgery so it is going to be a LONGGG day. PRAY PRAY PRAY!!!

Just got a text from Alex. Marys surgery has been put off until 2 today. The liver isnt here yet and then they will have to split it which will take about an hour so they are planning to take Mary in for the surgery at 2. PRAY PRAY PRAY!!!!

Mary Courington just called me at 2:10. She got a liver!!!! She said they are splitting a liver between her and a pediatric patient. She goes in today at 4pm and they will do the surgery tomorrow morning. PLEASE START PRAYING NOW AND DONT STOP!!! Pray that this will be a true match and that the surgery will be sucessful and that Mary will be able to finally be out of pain and misery. I love you Mary and will be praying for you constantly!

Everyone should start their day with a lil Gerber baby Cheese puff Breakfast!
Things have been sickly around our house lately. I have had a crazy cold /laryngitis for the last week. Two doctors appointments and many many dollars later I am better. Bayley was up coughing for awhile last night. I am hoping she doesnt get this mess. Brian has it now but we are hoping that since he started antibiotics early it wont be that bad. Bayley coughed more than we would like last night and Ms. Anita from daycare said Bay hasnt eaten good for them in two days. She was even refusing snacks which is odd for Bay.

The other night we were eating Chicken Speghetti bake (YUM) and Sydney decided to help me get a picture of Bayley's new teeth. As you can see we had several failed attempts.

Yes I know this next picture is blurry but if you look close at the bottom middle you can see her two pretty teeth. If you look REAL close you can see the one that is almost ready to come in.

Saturday me and the girls went and met Devin, Terry (his dad) and Duran (his brother) for lunch at Logans. It was good. Bayley was too cute and put on quite the show for them in the parking lot. Devin & Syd let her walk around and she sported her cute hat Syd got her. She is a mess.

Syd has been studying like a crazy person these days. She had major tests this week so lets hope they all went well. Honor Society this year is doing a lot more which is fun for her but also time consuming. She has to go help clean up at he school Saturday morning from 8-12... no sleep for her. They are also doing Teacher friends and some kind of can good trick or treating. O - also Sydney drove on the interstate for the first time Saturday. She did pretty good except I found out the hard way she is afraid of 18 wheelers...I told Brian that is his project to work on!

The only other news I have is yesterday started RSV season! YUK YUK YUK
I got my phone call from Dr. Tindle's office advising us to begin using antibacterial again RELIGIOUSLY! We were also caustioned to limit her exposure which is hard considering this year she is in daycare...so how much do you isolate her considering she is already exposed to everything in the world in that place. I am very torn over it and will probably just wait and talk to Dr. Tindle more at our next visit on October 14th. Also we got our schedule. O the Joys of Synagis. So once a month from now until April Bayley will get her Synagis shot to the tune of $1500.00 per shot billed to the lovely BCBS. I will gladly pay my $180.00 in copays instead of the $9000.00 bill that they pay. So far we will only scheduled to do the short course which is 6 months but that could change to add 1 additional month depending on her weight, overall health, and the RSV season itself. So if you see Bayley walking around church or daycare with a Purel bottle hanging around her neck dont be shocked.

Ok Before I start on the girls...I have a prayer request. My baby cousin Lacy's best friend (Christie Satterfield) finally got a double lung transplant on this past Saturday. Christie has battled cystic fibrosis since she was 18 months old. Her transplant went great and she is overall doing really good although she did have a bad night last night and is in a lot of pain so PLEASE keep Christie in your prayers. Here is her web site. In big news at our house....Bayley has another tooth and a 3rd that you can see under the skin that hasnt broken through yet!!! Sydney spotted her 2nd tooth last night and Devin saw the 3rd tonight. This was out attempt to get a picture of her two teeth!

Bayley is such a booger and refuses to let us get a picture of her pearly white teeth but dont worry...I will win in the end! Bayleys tooth coming in explains the last few weeks of dealing with a fussy Bay, bad appetite, runny diapers, runny nose, diaper rash...this isnt just plain diaper rash...this is bleeding for days. It has been rough but she is better right now.

Bayley had really started playing a lot. She LOVES her toys. I think maybe even more than Sydney did. The other night I was putting a cloth diaper over my face and playing peek-a-boo tickle monster. Bay loved it. The next morning when she saw me she reached behind me grabbed a real diaper and stuck it on my head ...she wanted to play. Such a sweetie. SHe is really loving her WOOFs these days. She LOVES dogs.

Bayley has a new obsession. She LOVES shoes. At any given point you will see her dragging around a random shoe. It is hysterical. Sunday afternoon she was in the bedroom with Brian and she came to the living room dragging his dress shoes and put them right in front of the recliner whihc is where he sits to put her shoes on!!! She is brilliant. She doesnt say but 4-5 works, she cant point out a body part, she has no clue what we are talking aobut half the time but my baby knows where Daddy puts on his shoes!!! Victory for the Baybay!

In even more exciting news. Im scared to even put it in writing...but for 2-3 days BAYLEY HAS STARTED SLEEPING BETTER. She slept all night in her bed 1 night and last night she slept in there til 5:30. WOOOHOOO!!!!!!!!! We are so proud of our lil baby girl.
Ok on Sydney news, She is just as silly as ever!

Syd's knee is still hurt. She is having to go to physical therapy on her knee twice a week. She is has a tight hamstring. I cant tell that PT is helping that drastically. Hopefully she will get some relief or else soccer is going to be miserable.

School is HARD! The new AB schedule is really kicking everyone's booty. Having to juggle 8 classes instead of 4 has definitely proven to be a challenge. She is doing really well in a few classes, keeping her head above water in a couple of others and DROWNING in AP Biology. She has a 99.54 in Geometry (YAY SYD!), a 89.99 in Pre AP Chemistry, a 86 in PreAP English, a 82 in Pre AP History, and drum roll a 50 in AP Biology. Yup my honors student is STRUGGLING! She has studied like a mad person for this class and she has a 50. In all honesty, I have only found a hand full of students who actually passed the 1st test. They dont get points on HW so they have no way to pull their grade up except for tests so say a prayer that those test scores go back up. Syd is really working on study habits but if anyone has any helpful hints feel free to leave them.

Driving for Syd has been an adventure. So she has only scared the life out of me a few times. I need to get an emergency brake for the backseat so when Im sitting back there with Bay I can save us. Lets hope time improves her skills. lol

Anyway, that is all I can think of for now. I will try to not wait as long before I post next.

Sydney's 15th birthday went really good. She had a great day complete with the perfect cake for her. She doesnt like cake at all normally but several weeks ago she tried a cake at Pam's Devo and she fell in love with DQ ice cream cake. So she got her wish and had an DQ Oreo Ice Cream Cake. Fatty loved every bite! lolAnd Sydney was VERY upset with the people who doubted her permit getting abilities.
HA Just kidding. She PASSED on the first try!!!! WOOO HOOO! She was THRILLED! I was so proud of her and terrified for myself! We came straight to PG and she drove for the first time. I have to say it was every bit as bad as I had feared. But she did get a little better the longer she drove. Brian took her out last night and let her drive and he didnt think she was that bad. I guess she got her terribleness out on me. In other news, We temporarily have custody of Sunkist Steel who is the puppy that Devin & Syd rescued several months back. She was living in pitiful conditions when they got her and Devin has kept her at his house and as you can see she has grown a ton! She is approximately 7 months old and weighs somewhere around 55-60 lbs and GROWING! The vet said she is a golden retriever, lab, great pyrenees mix. Sunkist is such a sweetheart & Bayley LOVES her. She is so gentle with her. Sydney is loving having her big baby at her house...Brian is doing better than I thought with it. lol

How could you not fall in love with that face?!?! Bay & her Bub doing what they do best...being silly! (Bay calls Devin Bub because Devin was too close to DaDa and the very first time I heard her attempt his name I said NOPE...Bub it is!)Tuesday after the permit test & dangerous driving, We went and got Bay, took Syd to the dentist and then we went and had lunch with Brian. It was fun. After that we took Bay to the doctor for her 15 month check up. It was pretty good. She was down in her weight 17 lb 2 oz from 17 lb 5 oz (but remember that was with her clothes on... so it isnt too bad of a loss) She was 29 1/2 inches long which is great and puts her in the 50th % of 12 month olds (her corrected age). WOOO HOOO. She is still not on the chart at all for weight. Dr. Tindle said we would see what kinda weight she gains over the next 6 weeks and go from there. We start Synagis shots in October (YUK) I just cant tell you how much I dread Synagis and having to go back into semi-lockdown and becoming the antibacterial queen again. Bayley is behind on being able to identify where here eyes, ears, mouth etc are by pointing and/or attempting to say the words. Also she should be able to say Dada when you point at Brian, etc. She isnt doing any of those things or even attempting it. Dr. Tindle said one thing Bayley has taught us is to just sit back and wait for her to do it when she decides it is time. She definitely dances to the beat of her own drum. lol She said we would just talk about it again at 18 months and see how much progress she has made. Bay is still carrying the failure to thrive diagnosis. That is just so hard to believe considering the baby eats so good and has even gotten some fat on her little legs but its just not where she needs to be. We need to gain some serious weight fast to avoid the FTT testing. I have been watching her progress at home and as you can see I have my own CBC growth chart on Bay. I definitely prefer the corrected-age chart. You can see the best on the 2nd chart the Corrected weight chart what is concerning about Bay's weight. She had a good growth curve going and she has dropped that curve significantly. Even with being a preemie Bayley should be on that chart. YUK. BUT...Make sure and check out the 3rd chart...Actual Length 23rd percentile which is stinkin awesome...my tall stringbean.We are fixing to cut out her two daytime bottles and swap to total cups during the day. We will still do her morning and night bottles for awhile to try to get more calories in her. Dr. Tindle was thrilled that Bay is walking so good. She said that was a VERY good sign. YAY Bay!
Bay turned 15 months Wednesday. Can you believe I have a 15 year old and a 15 month old?!?!?! Scarey!!!

Poor Bay had a bad afternoon yesterday. Apparently the MMR shot or possibly teething (could it be) gave her a runny diaper. It was as sometime between leavin daycare and getting home. Within an hour of being home I changed her and she has HORRIBLE diaper rash! Probably the worst she has ever had it. She just screamed. Even after a bath and the prescription medicine she was just miserable. She seemed better this morning but I did call the daycare to make sure they were putting cream on her and changing her diaper more often today.

I know you were all just as excited as me to see the 90210 premiere!!!

We all watched the two hour premiere Tuesday night. Even Brian watched and was captivated by the train wreck that it is! lol It was so exciting to see Kelly & Brenda back on the tv...man Ive missed my friends! lol (yes I know I have issues!)

Ok an important question to all the moms out there. I am getting conflicting information. Bayley is 15 months, 17 lbs 2 oz and 29 1/2 inches long. Her feet do touch the back seat when she is facing the back. I had a friend tell me that because her feet touch the backseat I needed to turn her. But other people say NO WAY that she has to be 20 lbs before it is safe for her to face the front. What do you think and/or what did you do?

Can you believe my 1st baby is 15 years old!!!! It seems like yesterday she was running all over the house with that paci in her mouth loving Barney!

Sydney Meghan - 15 years ago today was one of the two happiest days of my life. You were FINALLY born almost two stinking weeks late and we were all sooo happy to see you. You were absolutely beautiful & perfect...and you still are! I hope this is the best birthday ever. I love you so very much! You are so smart and I am so proud of the woman you are becoming. You are going to do great things in this world. I am so happy that you remain strong in your faith and such a good girl. You are a wonderful daughter and the best big sister in the world! You are so sweet with Bayley and I am so glad that you always make time for her. You always make us laugh even when we dont want to. I love you goofy sense of humor. I love that you have such a tender heart and always want to take in every stray dog that we see (she literally cried because I wouldnt pick up a stray on the side of the road in Fairfield...she kept saying but it is just a puppy..the thing was HUGE and looked like CUJO!) You are such a good granddaughter, cousin, girlfriend, and friend. You have so many people in your life who love you! Me & your Daddy are so very proud of you! You amaze us with all that you do. We look at you and still see our little Ough Boo Girl. Happy Birthday Fred! Your Daddy, Mommy & BayBoo love you so very much!!!

Big 15 Eve

It has been a busy few days. 1st I will say that Brody is doing MUCH better. After another Rocephin shot and more antibiotics, it appears they have the staph infection under control. YAY!
We went to the River Saturday to celebrate Syds bday. It was exciting and fun. We took advantage of a pretty day and Brian, Devin & Daddy cleaned out one side of the lillypad bed that they inherited. (My Daddy would have NEVER let it get that bad!) It went really good. Although I will say that my Daddy scared me completely to death. I wont give details on here but trust me ... It took a year or two off my life. whew. Anyway, lunch was wonderful of course. Then we went on a hour long boat ride and took Devin/Sydney intertubing. It was a great day. We went by and saw Brodyman on our way home. He was just too cute. Bayley LOVES him and followed him around facinated with him. It was too cute!
Today was church of course. Everything was good there. We went to Don & Gails for Syds bday after church. It was fun. Corra & Becca are both too cute. Corra is so big and cute. She is 5 months and 19 lbs (according to Syd weighing herself with Corra) It was a good day.
Today is the eve of Sydneys big 15th birthday! Im so excited for her! I will be posting again in a few hours just for Syd.

OK just a quick update. Last week was a lil crazy. Brian was sick with a fever/pain virus but he seems to be better. Poor Sydney had it the last few days but appears to be getting better. Me & Bay have both escaped so far. Bayley is a wild woman! She is into everything and keeps us on our toes. She is really starting to like her sippy cup better so we will start weaning her off her daytime bottles soon. (She is still on 4 a day as of now.) 15 years ago on August 25th was Sydney's due date. I cant believe she is fixing to be 15. She is BEYOND excited...and actually about to drive us all crazy with anticipation of DRIVING! Im just o so happy that I can medicate now cause Im definitely gonna need it! Another update: My moms kitty "Chunk" had good results and he is all negative! He is back to enjoying the good life at the river spending most of his time eating and sleeping happy as can be. Please keep my sweet little nephew Brody in your prayers. He has had a horrible week. Sunday he had what Chris said looked like maybe a pimple on the back of his leg almost to his booty. It was a little tender and red but they didnt think anything of it. Well Monday morning he couldnt even walk and was in horrible pain. THey didnt make the connection but thank goodness my brother took him on to Dr. McDaniel because he thought he might have a hernia. Well he didnt have a hernia but Dr. McDaniel said it was a boil on the back of his leg and his white blood cell count was sky high. Brody has a MRSA staff infection. He has been running 101-102 fevers and has also been throwing up some (but we think that is nerves bc of all he has been through). They have lanced the boil 3 different times which you can imagine is horribly painful. He has had 3 Rocephin shots and is on his 2nd oral antibiotic with little to no improvement. Dr. McDaniel told them today that it is a little better but it is just not responding like they want it to. They go back to Dr. McDaniel at 9:30 in the morning and she said that if there was not a good bit of improvement she would refer them to Childrens ER. As you can imagine Chris & Alan are beside themselves with worry. Brody has been a little trooper and has profited through TONS of attention, balloons, new movies & many a trip to Walmart for a prize to help him deal with this. Keep in mind Brody just started 5K a week or so ago. So anyway, please keep little Brody in your prayers and say a special prayer for him tomorrow morning that they will get good results and be able to stay out of the hospital. Tene loves you Brody Man and I will be praying that you get good results and you dont have to go back in that room with Paulette any more! I will update more tomorrow & attempt to put some pictures up.

Just a quick update. Bayley's slight fever Saturday escalated into a 2 day temp-o-thon where she kept 102-103 fevers. We did good if we got it down to 101. We put Bay to bed like normal Saturday night but she was up at 11ish unhappy so I just crashed on the couch with her. Well Bay woke up at 12 sick as a dog....and of course I was covered :( Bless her heart she was miserable. She never got sick again but continued to battle the fever and just being an unhappy lil girl. We went to see Dr. Tindle yesterday morning. Bay's left tonsil was inflamed and her left ear is infected. Dr. Tindle put her on Amoxil for 10 days. I am happy to say that Bay is already lots better. The only good news we got was a HUGE weight gain .... 17 lb 5 oz!!!! (I must confess that was fully clothed with a big ole wet diaper and shoes on but who cares it is still 17 lb 5 oz!!!) We were thrilled. Dr. Tindle was so impressed with her. I gave Pudding Cups all the glory as that is Bayley's newest obsession! lol The only bad news we got was that we will have to do the Synagis shots again this winter...YUK YUK YUK and Bayley will be the most unhappy with this as those shots hurt something terrible. Apparently even with her huge gain we still fall short of where she needs to be so Dr. Tindle said it was a MUST. So if you need me the 1st Tuesday of every month from October - May you know where to find me...Kiss $240.00 in copays goodbye although I will take it since the big bill of $12,000 will be paid by BCBS!

In other news, Syd is loving school ...so far! She is couting the days til the big 15!!! Start praying now....we will need it!

Also, if you are a cat lover...say a prayer for my parents adopted river kitty "Chunk" he hurt his foot and had to go to Dr. Kahn. Apparently the foot is just an infection but Dr. Kahn thinks Chunk has leukemia or feline AIDS. They are running the tests now and will know tomorrow. You can imagine that my mom is quite upset as is my daddy. Say a Kitty prayer that Chunk will get good results.

July 29th - I registered Sydney for school. Can you say BROKE! $266.00 ... I bought died! Sydney's schedule was about what we expected. They are doing this modified block schedule with A days and B days which is wierd. This is Syd's schedule:

After registration Syd had a dentist appointment. It went good and luckily was quick. Overall it was a decent day.

July 31st - Syd had a doctors appointment and had a test run which was fine. Then we flew to Jasper to eat lunch with Becky Rae & Emily and then headed to Daryls for eye appts. Sydney needed glasses to use when driving and to use in class at school. One eye is near perfect and the other is just barely bad enough to need correcting. She picked out some cute frames. After that we headed home for a few minutes then to Pams for a Devotional. It was fun. Syd got a good laugh out of Pam's Boo Sign. lol Bayley had a good time walking around and eating Susan's Birthday Cake! It was YUMMY!!! Sydney doesnt even like cake and she loved it!

August 2nd - We headed out and went to Maddie Randall's 1st birthday party! She is a stinkin doll! Bay had fun playing with her. Joe had grown up so much and was too cute. Kelly and I used to work together and we ended up both using Dr. Stradtman and we were only 2 weeks apart on our due dates. Who would have ever thought that would happen!

After Maddie's party we headed to the Galleria to shop. It was fun but SOOO busy! Syd got a good bit of stuff which she definitely needed. We tried out Bay's umbrella stroller that April & Jason gave us as a shower gift and Bayley LOVED it! She stayed in it for over an hour which was amazing for Bay! It was a fun day.

August 5th Bay LOVES her soccer ball that Syd got her for Christmas. The harder you play with her the better she loves it!

August 8th - I did a mini photo shoot in the front yard trying to get an end picture for a video I was working on. I wouldnt call it a huge success. lol

Our Big ole BayBay!August 9th - This was the big Duke family party at the River. It was so much fun. We ate probably the best ribs of my life. Mother changed the way she cooked them and they were OUTSTANDING! Bay ate Fantastic. Aunt Kaye had gotten the pulled pork and it was soooo good! Bay ate a good bit of it which was so funny to see. She also loved the watermelon and strawberries! YUM. Anyway after all the food we loaded up the boat and headed out on a ride to Howtons to go on the rope swing. That ended up being hmmm stressful to say the least. Alan ended up going off it first because no one has told him he is OLD!?!?! Then Devin took his turn. By this time Me, Chris, Kaye, Syd, Bay, Alana & Bro were floating around like crazy in the boat because none of us knew how to drive the boat to move it out of the way so we were up against the bank and Chris kept saying she saw a huge bird which i never saw (was it her imagination or real??! who knows) This whole time Bay was being the best baby in the world asleep or laying awake being super quiet which was amazing. Anyway if this story seems crazy believe me it isnt near as crazy as it was to be there. Ok it was Lacy's turn...now if you dont know Lacy she is my precious baby cousin (19 years old) who stole my thunder in life by becoming the youngest granddaughter...Im not bitter anymore, anyway she was also a gymnist for YEARS and a cheerleader in highschool, and a bit of a daredevil. So we didnt think anything of her deciding she was going to go off the swing. Ok I have to say that there were a couple of HUGE rocks at the base of the hill and the whole bottom of the river there is filled with rocks. So Lacy goes off the swing and lost her grip and fell WAYYYY before she should have. She ended up hitting water but where she went in was only maybe 3-4 feet deep and totally rock lined. We about had a stroke. She ended up being ok other than being majorly scraped with severly bruised ribs. The nut even got up and said she was going to do it again...My Aunt Kaye very quickly convinced Lacy to get in the boat. Man...talk about scaring us to death...she was SOOOo close to hitting her head on that big rock...I love you and am so glad you are ok Lacy Duke and dont even think about ever doing that again!

O and as we were all leaving Mother & Daddy's Bay said "Bye" for the first time! She said it over and over. It was so cute!

August 12 - This was a good day. Sydney had an appointment at Childrens' for her kidney issues. We got what I consider either nothing we didnt expect and just really good advice. Ok so to the enlarged kidney... they said that her right kidney is enlarged but this is also the kidney with two uretors and they said the whole right system looks abnormal which is what we expected and the best scenerio. They said they didnt think it was anything to be alarmed at. We went over tons of reason why Syd could be getting UTI's and learned TONS of stuff. I have to say it was a very informative visit. They put her on a couple of different medicines and we go back in 3 months. We were super pleased about the visit.

August 13th - This was a very eventful day! Today was the first day of school. 10th grade!!Sydney has had a few VERY LATE NIGHTS listening to Gone with the Wind on tape trying to get ready for the first day. She looked super cute and had a really good first day. She liked her A Day classes...that is gonna be hard to get used to. lol Today was also Bayley's Corrected 1st Birthday!!! Bayley was due August 13th and medically she is followed based on this date. When I got home from work we had a little fun with Bay. The night before Brian got out Sydney's little tykes cube for Bay to play with. She was hysterical. We had to put socks on her to keep her from going head first. Once she caught on she LOVED it.

Today was also Brody (and Addi's) first day in Kindergarten. We talked to him tonight and he said he liked it. He rode the bus home which he was especially happy over. We love you Brody Man and cant belive you are growing up so fast!

We celebrated Bay's corrected 1st Bday tonight with her favorite thing..A LEMON PUDDING CUP. She loved every bite of it. You have to love all the Lucky Charms around it. She only eats the marshmellows by the way! lol

Anyway our day went MAJORLY south after this! My neighbor Tammy called me to tell me that one of my neighbors pled guilty of Sexual Abuse of a Child less than 12 years of age on Monday 8/11. I just cant tell you the panic that went through my head. Mr. Jordan lived across from us and two houses to the left. He was on disabiltiy and always home. We had a casual relationship with him and he did watch our house for us and tried to "keep our neighborhood safe." wow that is a stretch! To be safe I called the Sheriff's Department and spoke with a Detective Reach with the Sex Offenders Division and verified all of the following information. Mr. Jordan was charged in January 08 with two counts of sexual abuse of a minor child. He apparently missed a court date and was escorted to court on Monday where he pled guilty. He received 10 years suspended sentence and will serve a maximum of ONE YEAR but with good behavior he could be out in as little as six months. This was VERY concerning with Det. Reach telling me that it takes approximately six months to even get letters out saying you have a sex offender in your area. The good news is we live within 2000 feet of TWO daycares and therefore he will not be allowed to return and live in his house as this will violate his probation. I have to say Sydney was Right!!! She has said for years that Mr. Jordan gave her the creeps! If you havent already you need to be checking the Sex Offenders web site and warn your kids about not just talking to strangers...unfortunately these days its just about everyone because according to Det. Reach it is most commonly someone the child is very familiar with.

And last but not least .... 436 Days have passed and my time of feeding Bay has come to an end! WHEW! I cant tell you what it has meant to me especially when she was so little and I couldnt touch her much less do anything else for her. It has been a blessing to be able to pump this long. Although we did start supplementing at 10 months to try to increase weight gain I still pumped for the enzymes until Bays corrected 1 year. I will not miss carrying this bag and a freezer bag with me everyday! Goodbye little black bag...you served your purpose well and I would like to say you will be missed...but I dont wanna lie!

August 14th - Bayley said Sissy for the first time tonight! Sydney was thrilled. Syd and Devin had Bayley and Devin must have said Sissy Sissy Sissy a thousand times and she finally said it. I think she said it just to get him to shut up but either way Syd was thrilled.

August 16th - Today has been a good and lazy day. Lots of naps and tv watching. Only bad news is that Bayley has a fever very slight just 100.3 we are hoping it is just teeth...cause she still has NONE of those!!! More later.

Bayley LOVESSSS Swinging! She laughed the whole time! Bayley has finally learned to love her Tiger! She is so cute on it! Ok sorry it has been so long since my last update. Things have been crazy and I just havent been in a blogging mood but Im getting out of it! So heres the latest update:
1. Saturday July 12 - Bayley said Cat, Mama & Uh OH all for the first time! We were thrilled! She was supposed to be saying 3-5 words by her first birthday and that puts her right on target for her corrected one year which is August 13th.
2. July 14th - Sydney had to go to Children's for a renal ultrasound and VCUG. YUK YUK YUK! She did good with the tests of course other than total humiliation (she kept saying..Ive been violated Ive been violated! lol She is a NUT!) The tests came back to show mild to moderate damage from her previous infections but negative for reflux which is great HOWEVER they spotted a different issue on the tests which is her right kidney is enlarged. The nurse practitioner said that they had a 2nd radiologist look at it to make verify and he agreed. We go see Dr. Joseph on August 12 to discuss this, what it might be caused from, and what if anything we will do about it. The nurse said they would do some blood work that day and possibly more tests. They are getting her records from years ago and will review them before we get there so I will keep you posted on that one! Also we had some problems with daycare - I basically got there and her nose and eyes were COMPLETELY DISGUSTING!!! She has a cold and her eyes were covered in yellow goo and her nose was crusted EXTREME all over her face. I just cant over emphasize ... this was EXTREME! I was beside myself. I had to clean on her face for 10 minutes with baby wipes to get her face even close to clean. There is NO WAY the babys face had been touched in HOURS. I will just say that I had a "talk" with Ms. Judy the next morning and we will hope this never happens again. If it does I will be taking pictures and going straight to the daycare administration and President Bush if I have to but my baby WILL NOT be treated or better yet "NOT TREATED" that way again! ok enough on that!
3. July 15th Me & Syd took Bay to the park for the first time. It was hysterical. Bayley LOVES to swing. She laughed the whole time she was swinging. It was so much fun.
4. July 18th Bay went to doctor for ear infection, sinus infection & bronchitis. She weighed 16 lb 3 oz. Not an impressive gain but a gain nontheless so we will take it.
5. July 20 - Bayley showed off her improved walking skills by walking all over the church! She is very proud of herself and doesnt mind showing off one bit!
6. July 21st Sydney went to Six Flags with the church and had a great time!
7. July 26 - Mother & Daddy came over for a little bit. Bay put on quite a show for them. They were impressed with her walking skills! Thanks to her daddy, Bayley had pizza for the first time today. She loved it!
8. July 27 - Church of course and I took Sydney to the "doc in the box" for a sinus infection. We went to the one in Bessemer across from the new Target. Cindi McGee ended up coming to visit with us while we waited and we had a blast! I mean at one point I was laughing so hard I was crying. She is a nut. That has to be a definition of a real friend "one who will come to a doctors office and entertain you during the extremely long wait" Syd had fluid behind her right ear adn a sinus infection. She got a shot & 2 Rx. Hopefully she will be feeling better soon. Also Bayley said BYE BYE for the first time after church.

FYI UPDATES:
Bay still has no teeth...we are seriously looking into dentures.
I register Syd for school tomorrow ---- JOY! Cant wait to spend $150+ on our free education.
16 more days until Bayley's corrected one year & my last day with my best friend for the past year & 2 months.
1 month 4 days til Sydney turns 15...start praying NOW! Luckily that is after August 13th and I will be able to medicate to calm those "parenting of a teen driver" nerves! WOO HOO!
Anyway, that is all I can think of. I will try to update more often!

Its been awhile so here we go with a quick update. First check out the difference a year makes...it was hard to get these pictures this year because she wanted to throw the mountain dew or drink it and she wanted to talk on the phone.

The 4th of July was good. Bayley was in a good mood and showed off for everyone. We enjoyed getting to see Lacy, Uncle Jack & Aunt Kaye & the rest of the family too of course. Saturday we were really lazy and just spent the day taking naps and catching up on sleep. Bayley walked took 4-5 steps for the first time Saturday. Sunday was good. Church of course then we shopped some. Bayley decided at lunch Sunday taht she LOVES baked beans!!! YUM! She got her 2nd bath of the day right after lunch! lol Monday was a little hard on Bayley getting back into the swing of daycare. Tuesday was a much better day for her. Ms. Anita said she acted happy for most of the day. Wednesday was good. Bayley walked probably 8-10 steps to show off while we were at church. Everyone clapped and she loved the attention of course. Im gonna try to get some pictures of her walking soon. More later.

This past weekend was slow for us. Nothing too exciting went on. Friday Night we went to see Paul, Amy, Becca and Corra and then went to Target. It was fun. Corra is getting so big. She is over 18 lbs at 3 1/2 months old. Becca was too cute. She played Wii and it was amazing how good she did. Me and Syd both came down with a cole "Thanks Daycare* so we just layed around a lot and tried to get over it.

I got these pictures emailed to me this week. These were taken May 21st which was one week before his diagnosis. It was Uncle Hoyt & Aunt Nellie's 48th Anniversary. We love you Uncle Hoyt and you will be missed.

Yesterday was Hannah McGee's 16th Birthday! I love you Hannah Girl!!!!

ONE YEAR AGO TODAY we finally got to bring Bayley home from the hosptial.

7/1/07 she came home weighing 3 lb 15.7 ounces.

7/1/08 she weighs 15 lb 15.8 ounces * notice the bassinet isnt as roomy now as it was 1 year ago!

One year ago Bayley's dinner consisted of 50 ml BM which is 1 1/2 ounces. Last nights dinner was corn, black eyed peas and a jar of sweet potato apple combo.

One year ago this month seemed to be the longest of my life...this year it has flown by! Thank God for answered Prayers!!!

PS - My mom just got back from the doctor about her shoulder. She got in trouble for not wearing her sling! ha I told her so!!! She is doing good. She is off work for another week and doesnt do therapy until after her 6 week check up with the doctor.

Notice big girl doesnt use a tub seat anymore! But that isnt the Big News Keep Reading!!! Ok I dont have a ton of time so Im going to try to make this quick

Saturday was an ok day. Nothing too exciting. We did a little shopping at Watermark but basically just rested. It was nice.

Sunday was a long but with a good twist. We got up early to head to Mothers to help her get ready. We were fixing to leave and BAYLEY SAID "DA"!!!!! We were so excited. What a relief that was. Months and Months of worry all wiped away with a simple Da!!! Go BayBay! Anyway things went good at Mothers. We did pretty good on her hair if I do say so myself and we headed to Vernon. Church was good there. It was nice to be around so much family. The Vernon Church of Christ had lunch for the family after church services. It was very nice. The viewing was a true testament to who Uncle Hoyt was. There was a line out to the road the entire hour of viewing. It was overwhelming the amount of people who came to pay their respects. The church was filled to capacity for the funeral. It was very nice & "totally Uncle Hoyt". It was a sad day but yet the amount of love shown that day was uplifting. We all loved Uncle Hoyt and he will definitely be missed. My heart breaks for Aunt Nellie, Jason, Kathryn & the kids . Please keep them in your prayers.

Monday was a decent day. Nothing too exciting went on. I went to the grocery store with Bay when I picked her up. She said Dadadada the whole way down the frozen food isle! It was so exciting! I teared up and Im sure people thought I was a wierdo but who cares!

Tuesday was a good but wierd day. There was a little excitement/worry in the neighborhood. I picked Bay up and we got home & Brian got her out of her carseat. We were both sitting there talking to Bay & she stood up on her own & we just laughed at her and Brian held his hand out and said well come here big girl...AND BAYLEY TOOK HER FIRST STEP!!! We were so excited! Who would have thought Bayley would do so many exciting things in 1 week. I mean her first word & talking her first step just 3 days apart!!! As Sydney likes to say, Bayley is growing up soooo fast! Sydney missed the 1st step but she is going to try to get her to do it tonight for her!

Today has been good so far. I just checked on Bay at daycare because she has been really fussy & her cold was a little worse this morning. They said she was taking a nap & had been a little fussy today but overall is good. Cross your fingers that this cold goes way!

I miss camp so much. I hope to be back next year. it was so good to see Syd. I have missed her TONS! I cant wait for her to come home tonight!

In other news. My mom is doing good. She is drugged which is a good thing for her. Also, please keep my Aunt Nellie & Jason & family in your prayers. The funeral for Uncle Hoyt is Sunday at Vernon Church of Christ with visitation at 1 and the funeral at 2. We loved them all so much and Uncle Hoyt will be missed tons! More tomorrow.

Bayley made it through daycare again today. Brian said that she was REALLY NOT HAPPY when he dropped her off. When I got there to pick her up they said that she had cried a good bit but not as much as Monday which is great. Hopefully she will continue to improve.

After work I ran home and picked up Devin and we got Bay from daycare adn we headed to ICYC. It was great seeing Syd. I have missed her so much! It was fun seeing everyone. Bayley really bonded with Meagan Gilbert! lol She loved her. Jaz & Rae were jealous! lol j/k Syd was doing great and everyone seemed to be having a wonderful time. I miss it and hope that me & Bay will be back next year to stay!

My mom has her shoulder surgery tomorrow so keep her in your prayers. Please & Thank You!More tomorrow.

Time for a catch up from the weekend. Friday was a good day. Bayley spent her last friday with Gail. She had a good day. It is sad to think that Bay's spent a whole year staying at Gail's and Katie's and now of course that is over. Thanks Gail for all you do and for taking such good care of Bayley.

Saturday was fun! Devin came over and we all headed to the river for fathers day/alan's bday. We had a good time riding seadoo's and the kids all swam. We checked out Mother & Daddy's new hobby....the second river house they bought. lol Daddy will not be bored for a LONG time! Mother grilled out burgers and we gave Daddy his laptop for fathers day! He was suprised and excited. It was fun! Alan, Chris & the kids missed Bay's party because they were at the beach so they gave her presents then. She loves her baby & her turtle! Perfect gifts for The Bay. It was a really good day.

Yesterday we packed Syd up and took her to camp. It was fun seeing everybody. Bay wouldnt eat anything for dinner and that reminded me exactly why I wasnt down there this week. I was sad leaving Sydney. I just hate not having her at home. We are going back to visit Tuesday night so I only have to make it 2 days then I get to see her! *Happy Father's Day Daddy! We love you! Also Happy Father's Day Brian. Syd & Bay love their Diddy!!!

This morning was Bay's big first day at daycare! We got up early so that I could feed her both her cereal and a bottle (They dont do breakfast! YUK) We got to daycare adn did the financial stuff then we went to Bay's room. Priscilla & Ashley were both there and so were two little boys. We got all of Bay's stuff put up and then after we talked to Priscilla and went over medicine's we made the pass to Priscilla and left. Honestly it was worse than I had thought. Those big ole' eyes looking sad, anxious, scared while crying up a storm. Just about killed me. We stood outside the door adn listened to her in hopes that she would settle down...no such luck. We eventually just left. UGHHHH no fun. I called Cindy at lunch and she said Bay had eaten "some" for lunch and sitting RIGHT beside Ms. Priscilla playing with a toy. Bless her heart. I am going to leave just as soon as possible and get her. I hope she settles in quick wiht this because if not I may be selling plasma & anything else I can part with to be able to stay at home with her. I will update with a report from the afternoon workers later.

UPDATE: Dr. Tindle said that Bay's bloodwork looked really viral so hopefully that is all there is to the major poops. She does want to go ahead and do the stool culture to be sure so I will be having o so much fun tonight. YUK. THe good news about the visit is that Bay is up to a whopping 15 lb 8 oz which is a BIG gain of 5 oz in 2 weeks which isnt bad at all considering she has been sick for a week. GO BAYBAY!

One of my blogger buddies in is need of immediate prayers. Daniel's Mommy is roughly 28 weeks pregnant and her blood pressure has started rising. She has been placed on modified bedrest. Her son Daniel was a 29 week preemie. PLEASE pray for her and this sweet baby.

I am taking Bayley to the doctor at 2 today. She has continued to have problems with her tummy and is refusing to eat today. Will update later.

My cousin Kathryn sent us their gates! Thanks so much Kathryn & Jason!!! Bayley didnt know what to think and at first was excited.
Then she quickly figured out that this kept her from the fun place (the dog food & water bowls)
Although this kinda looks like a smile...she was about to have a fit! Bayley does not like Alcatraz!!!

Time for an update. WARNING...If you are poop sensative tune out until the next paragraph. Thursday Bay was with Gail and she had cooked a vegetable soup and she mashed up some of it and Bay ate a little. (* In Gail's defense I was on the phone with her and totally agreed it would be fine to let her eat some because she had already tried all of the food in the soup. And Bay only ate a few bites.) Anyway, Bay had several poop diapers at Gails. When I got Bay home she was still in a good mood and I put her in her high chair with a few chocolate chip teddy grahams and some cheerios while I cooked and washed bottles. Anyway, Syd came to help me and commented on Bay's dirty face...she had chocolate on it from the cookies (or so I thought)...GAG LONG story short, Bay had a MAJORRRR Blow Out and then proceeded to get her hand in it...and continued to eat cookies, drink her drink, etc ....PLEASE DONT COME GET ME DHR. EWWWWWWW I nearly died of a stroke!!!! It was everywhere. So I picked her up and literally carried her to the tub and put her in clothes and all. I couldnt decide what to wash first...It was bad. Defintiely one of those moments I wont forget. Brian decided the only way to save the high chair was by utilizing the hose pipe in the front yard. I dont know which one of us had the worst job. YUK. Anyway, we figured we were finished with poop for awhile but nope she ended up having what we think was a little stomach bug. We took her off food and put her on G2 for 24 hours. The funny thing is it didnt seem to bother her at all to not have food. She never once cried or even acted hungry. It puzzled us. Anyway, Sunday she seemed much better.

If you tuned out due to POOP sensitivity it is safe to return. lol Sunday we went to the river to cat sit. It was fun. Syd & Devin had a great time. Bay was still not up for her pool. We are going to keep trying though. Sunday was our first service without Daryl, Becky, Emily & Rachel. it was so sad pulling in and having no Custred cars in the parking lot. I miss my friend and really wish they didnt have to change churches.

Yesterday was a good day. After work I went to pick up Bay & Syd & Devin adn we headed to the river to cat sit again. lol We really just picked up a pizza and sat on the deck for a little while and watched part of a movie. We went and checked out my parents second home. They recently purchased the little house behind them. It is so cute. It is little and needs to be majorly cleaned and painting is a must but it is really going to be nice. It has tons of potential. It is going to be my daddy's new hobby. lol The yard is going to take some major renovations to get rid of a bunch of the unwanted shrubs/plants/weeds, etc. Simple yards are best at the river to decrease the places for snakes, etc. to hide out. yuk. The river front there is going to be the worst part of it all. It will take some major weed pulling. I worry aobut that part becuase I am petrified of snakes and weed beds just look snakey to me...ewww. Anyway. We ran by Alan's to drop off the keys, he is cat sitting tonight. lol Brody & Alana came running out to see us. They are too cute. Bayley was asleep so we couldnt get out but they will get plenty of play time saturday when we do Father's day for Daddy. We cant wait!

Mother & Daddy have had a pretty good time on their work/vacation. Mother said the classes were long and boring but what do you expect. Daddy sounds like he has had fun with Ben during the day. They obviously went to Daytona one day. He really liked that. Last night they went to Sea World and got put in some kind of room becuase of a tornado warning. All that money and no Nemo! lol Mother had a major ring scare. She lost one of her rings. Daddy said she was really upset...but it was at the conference center where her classes were! Bless the person who turned it in! Anyway they come home tomorrow!!!

Bayley starts daycare on Monday. Today is Bayley's last day with Katie. :( Katie was sooo sweet to volunteer to help watch Bayley when she came so early and we knew daycare wasnt an option. It has worked out wonderful for us and Bayley loves Katie & Hannah. Thanks so much Katie for all the love and care you have given Bayley. You will never know how much we appreciate it!

My Uncle Hoyt DuBose got a very bad report from his brain biopsy. He has Glioblastoma tumors which is a very aggressive type of brian cancer. He is not a surgical candidate but will be undergoing radiation and chemotherapy. They will be staying in Huntsville and having the treatments there. Please keep My Uncle Hoyt & Aunt Nellie in your prayers. I will update more later.

Bayley's 1 year check up

Katie with BayBoo & HannaBoo in their matching Frog outfits!Today was an ok day. I took Bay to the doctor for her 1 year check up! She weighed 15 lb 3 oz and was 27 inches long. This was not a good weight gain but I will talk more about that later. Bayley's umbilical hernia is back It is not bad and really is just one little side. Dr. Tindle said it may get worse like it was right when she was a few months old or it could completely go away again. She said that Bayley probably pushed the bowel out when she was having a tummy ache and said taht was fairly common and nothing to worry about. We did get some good news. Bayley did her gagagagagagaga babbling for Dr. Tindle and she also gave me love (patting me on the back when I am loving on her). Dr. Tindle was impressed with her and said that ever though she isnt technically saying a word yet that the patting me on the back is a form of communication and so she said we would wait until her 15 month appt and reevaluate her then. if she isnt saying 1-3 words by then we will have to go to Children's for the evaluation but I really think she will be saying dada anyday now! Bay got great marks on her physical accomplishments and Dr. Tindle was thrilled with her walking behind toys. Now for the not so great part. As I said Bay is 27 inches long which is good and puts her in the 5th % for 12 month olds. Her weigh is the not good part. She isnt on the chart at all for a 12 month old and is only in the 5th percentile for 9 month olds. Dr. Tindle wasnt happy with this at all. On April 18 she weighed 14 lb 6 oz so in over a month and a half Bayley hasnt even gained 1 whole pound. We talked IN LENGTH about her food schedule, when and how we feed her, etc. Unfortunately there were only minor changes in diet suggested. We are going to try to increase her to 3 containers of food consistently at lunch & dinner (some days she wants it others it is near impossible to get them in her) We are also going to try different combinations of foods/table foods in an effort to try to find things that she likes better adn will eat more of. The only things she suggested staying away from was eggs until her corrected 1 year (Aug 13) and NO peanut butter until atleast 3 years old and also NO juice as it is just empty calories and we need to prove that Bayley can gain and maintain her weight on her own. I had hoped we could move around her eating times as it intereferes with Bible class times but no such luck for now. We also are going to continue the 10pm bottle. I also was anxious to see if Dr. Tindle suggested for me to continue pumping or if it would be ok to stop...that answer was a very strong CONTINUE because she starts daycare in less than 2 weeks and she will need the antibiodies. After I left from the appointment I looked at her charge ticket and saw what I had prayed wouldnt happen. Bayley's diagnosis was Prematurity/FTT. I called Brenda (one of the nurses) to see if the FTT happened to mean Future Teacher of Tomorrow but unfortunately it was Failure to Thrive. Please keep Bayley in your prayers specifically for some MAJOR weight gain in the next few months and if anyone has any suggestions on weight gain please let me know!
